Deborah was a prophet . . . She was judge over Israel at that time. She held court under Deborah’s Palm . . . The people Israel went to her in matters of justice. She sent for Barak . . . and said to him, ‘It has become clear that GOD, the God of Israel, commands you: Go to Mount Tabor and prepare for battle. . ..’ Barak said, ‘If you go with me, I’ll go. But if don’t go with me, I won’t go.’ She said, ‘Of course I’ll go with you. But understand that with an attitude like that, there’ll be no glory in it for you. They found the Book of the Law, and “When King (Josiah) heard what was written in the Book of the Law, he tore his clothes in despair (because the people of Judah had not been doing accordingly) and gave these orders: ‘Go to the Temple and speak to the LORD for me and for the people and for all Judah.’ So Hilkiah the priest, Ahikam, Acbor, Shaphan, and Asaiah went . . . to consult with the prophet Huldah. . .. She said to them, ‘The LORD, the God of Israel, has spoken! . . . . go to the king of Judah who sent you to seek the LORD and tell him . . . 2Ki 22:11-20 (NLT)


And it shall come to pass afterward, that I will pour out my spirit upon all flesh; and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy . . .Joel 2:28 (KJV)


. . . Jesus traveled about from one town and village to another, proclaiming the good news of the kingdom of God. The twelve were with Him, and also some women who had been cured of evil spirits and diseases: Mary (called Magdalene) from whom seven demons had come out; Joanna the wife of Cuza, the manager of Herod’s household; Susanna; and many others. And many women who had come down from Galilee with Jesus to care for Him were watching from a distance. Matthew 27:55 (TLB)


At the crack of dawn, two from this group of women returned to the sepulchre and were the first to see and touch and speak to the Lord Jesus after His Resurrection (refer to Matthew 28:1-10).
