John 5:19 (NLT) – “Jesus said, ‘I assure you, the Son can do nothing by Himself. He does only what He sees the Father doing. Whatever the Father does, the Son also does.”

John 8:26b, 28 (NLT) – “26 . . . For I say only what I have heard from the One who sent me. . . . 28 When you have lifted up the Son of Man on the cross, then you will realize that I am He and that I do nothing on my own, but I speak what the Father taught me.”

John 8:38 (NKJV) – “I speak what I have seen with my Father . . .”

John 12:49-50 (NLT) – “49 I don’t speak on my own authority. The Father who sent me gave me His own instructions as to what I should say. 50 And I know His instructions lead to eternal life; so I say whatever the Father tells me to say!”

John 14:10 (NKJV) – “. . . The words that I speak to you I do not speak on my own accord, but the Father who sent me commanded me what to say and how to say it.”

Jesus is Lord because He walked in perfect obedience to the will of God the Father for my sake; that is for the sake of all mankind. This is why I am not ashamed of the Gospel (Good News) of Jesus the Anointed One.

Jesus is Lord because knowing who He was and to Whom He belonged, He set His face like flint to accomplish the mission for which God the Father sent Him on behalf of man. This is why I love Him who first loved me and sacrificed His Blood; that I might choose (free-will) abundant life present & future.

Jesus is Lord because He never had need to puff Himself up; the Kingdom of God – the nature and character of God was in Him (Matthew 6:33, Romans 14:17, Luke 17:21). This is why the Pharisees & the Sadducees loathed His presence.

“And they watched Him, and sent forth spies, who pretended to be righteous, that they might seize on His words; that would get Him in trouble with the law“ Luke 20:20 (KJV, NKJV, MSG combined). Ah, but even in The Passion, Jesus only spoke in the way of God the Father. “He was oppressed and afflicted, yet he did not open his mouth; he was led like a lamb to the slaughter and as a sheep before her shearers is silent, so he did not open his mouth“ Isaiah 53:7 (NIV). He never said a mumbling word, except: “Father, forgive them; for they know not what they do“ Luke 23:34 (KJV).

Jesus is Lord because He had faith in the plan of GOD to get Him up with the keys of death and Hades (Revelation 1:18). Jesus the Anointed One is alive and He is coming again soon and very soon (Revelation 22:7,12 & 20). Therefore, I speak belief in the Living Word; and in agreement with Apostle John I too say: “Amen! Come, Lord Jesus!“
