I needed to get my daily read of Scripture in because Romans 10:17 but the devil tried to convince me that I was too sleepy. It’s suspicious that I can do all kinds of things throughout the day but when it comes to the WORD, it seems as though I’m suddenly tired. Nevertheless, I decided that I’d nodded enough on the couch to refresh. Hence declaring myself revitalized, read a few chapters in the Old Testament, followed by one chapter in the New Testament which brought me to The Lord’s Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13). Speaking it out loud brought remembrance of our mother and father who taught my sister and I how to pray; and in particular our mother’s persistence in regard to our rote learning of Psalm 23. I am forever grateful that our mother and father seeded the things of GOD in us.
