Dear Sisters and Brothers in Jesus the Christ,

16  When people take an oath, they call on someone greater than themselves to hold them to it. And without any question that oath is binding.  17  God also bound himself with an oath, so that those who received the promise could be perfectly sure that he would never change his mind.  18  So God has given us both his promise and his oath. These two things are unchangeable because it is impossible for God to lie. Therefore, we who have fled to him for refuge can take new courage, for we can hold on to his promise with confidence. 19  This confidence is like a strong and trustworthy anchor . . .Hebrews 6:16-19 (NLT)

The Word of God states: “3  . . . and I will make you a blessing to others.  4  I will bless those who bless you and curse those who curse youGenesis 12:3-4 (NLT). I take joy in that promise to which my response is that I can hardly wait to pay-off some mortgages of others, etc. I’ve had specific people in mind for quite some time, though I remain open to the LORD’s leading by the Holy Spirit. I enjoy giving, especially when those who receive didn’t expect it, and all to the praise and glory of Abba Father, with thanksgiving in Jesus’ Name. As for curses? “no weapon forged against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you . . .Isaiah 54:17 (NIV). The LORD said that such was the heritage of His servants who He Himself vindicates. The difference between then and now is that the blood of Jesus has rendered us far more than mere servants. Rather, we are sons and daughters of God, strengthened by His great might (power) with all the endurance and perseverance necessary to serve Him with joy (Colossians 1:11). That is the power which those “in Him” are gifted at the onset (Ephesians 1:19 & 3:20; Philippians 4:13) along with the measure of faith (Romans 12:3b) and its operative power – divine love (Romans 5:5; Galatians 5:6). Yet, the power of God within is but one of the redemptive blessings bought and brought by the finished work of Christ Jesus on behalf of all mankind. For “in Him” we are heirs of Abba Father and co-heirs with our elder brother – the Lord Jesus (Romans 8:17); and we know that an inheritance is for the living. However, one can only tap into that which they’ve grown in the knowledge of by the Word of God (Galatians 4:1-7; Ephesians 3:6). Revelation of the information therein is by the Teaching of the Holy Spirit through Whom we may comprehend in order to do what the Living Word says about being the salt and the light of the world. For salt preserves as well as flavors. “You’re to be salt-seasoning that brings out the God-flavors of this earth. (Otherwise) how will people taste godliness? . . . .Matthew 5:13 (MSG). God is light from Whom Christ Jesus was sent as light (1Jn 1:5; John 12:44-46). Therefore, all “in Him” are light (Isaiah 49:6; Acts 13:47; 1Th 5:5). “You’re here to be light, bringing out the God-colors in the world. God is not a secret to be kept. We’re going public with this, as public as a city on a hill . . . . you don’t think I’m going to hide you under a bucket do you? . . . . shine! . . . . By opening up to others, you’ll prompt people to open up to God . . . .Matthew 5:14-16 (MSG)

Speak the promise . . . Harriet
