GOD’s Recovering Favor . . .
The people said:
“I pray to you, O LORD, in the time of Your favor; in Your great love, O God, answer me with Your sure salvation.” Psalm 69:13 (NIV)
The LORD God said:
“8 . . . In the time of my favor I will answer you, and in the day of salvation I will help you; I will keep you and will make you to be a covenant for the people, to restore the land and to reassign its desolate inheritances, 9 to say to the captives, Come out, and to those in darkness, ‘Be free!” Isaiah 49:8-9 (NIV)
“6 I, the LORD, have called You to demonstrate My righteousness. I will guard and support You, for I have given You to My people as a personal confirmation of My covenant with them. And you will be a light to guide all nations to Me. 7 You will open the eyes of the blind and free the captives from prison. You will release those who sit in dark dungeons.” Isaiah 42:6-7 (NLT)
The Lord Jesus the Anointed One and His Anointing said:
“The Spirit of the LORD is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the LORD.” Luke 4:18-19 (NKJV) and Isaiah 61:1-2
The Word sent forth from the mouth of the LORD God must accomplish that for which it is sent (Isaiah 55:11). Regardless of mankind’s use of free-will in doing contrary to God’s Word and/or the deception of satan, the fact remains that nothing is more powerful than the Word of God. Therefore, the mystery of God’s plan to redeem and re-create and reconcile mankind to Himself was revealed in the Word made flesh (John 1:14) – YESHUA/JESUS – the Living Word of God.
“5 that your faith should not stand in the wisdom of men, but in the power of God. 6 Howbeit we speak wisdom among them that are perfect: yet not the wisdom of this world, nor of the princes of this world, that come to nought: 7 but we speak the wisdom of God in a mystery even the hidden wisdom, which God ordained before the world unto our glory: 8 which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory.” 1 Corinthians 2:5-8 (KJV)
The LORD God says:
“. . . I listened to you, and when you needed help, I came to save you. . . . This is the day for you to be saved.” 2 Corinthians 6:2 (CEV).
JESUS frees!
JESUS is the light!
JESUS saves!
