“But the Lord God says, See, I am placing a Foundation Stone in Zion—a firm, tested, precious Cornerstone that is safe to build on.” Isaiah 28:16 (TLB)

The Cornerstone is Christ Jesus.

“But how shall they ask (Christ) to save them unless they believe in Him? And how can they believe in (Christ) if they have never heard about Him? And how can they hear about (Christ) unless someone tells them?” Romans 10:14 (TLB)

“. . . We are all parts of (Christ Jesus’ body), and it takes every one of us to make it complete, for we each have different work to do. . . God has given each of us the ability to do certain things well.” Romans 12:4-6 (TLB)

. . . Stand on the side of good. . . . . Be glad for all God (has) planned for you. . . . . If someone mistreats you because you are a Christian, don’t curse (them); pray that God will bless (them).”       Romans 12:9-14 (TLB)

Never pay back evil for evil. . . . . never avenge yourselves. Leave that to God, for He has said that He will repay those who deserve it. . . . Don’t let evil get the upper hand but conquer evil by doing good.” Romans 12:17-22 (TLB)

“For, after all, the important thing for us as Christians is not what we eat or drink but stirring up goodness and peace and joy from the Holy Spirit. . . . build each other up.” Romans 14:17-19 (TLB)

“For God has said, ‘You must never forget the covenant I made with you; never worship other gods.’ . . . .” 2 Kings 17:38-39 (TLB)

That covenant was indeed broken; Yet by the redemptive work of Christ Jesus we have a better covenant with God.
