Never Forsake 3 . . .
When the king sought to promote Daniel above the other leaders, they sought for a way to prohibit such by manipulating the king into creating a new law antithetical to the way of the LORD God.
Daniel respectfully, non-violently refused to go against the way of the LORD and his personal relationship with God. The king had no choice but to apply the law that he was tricked into creating and Daniel was thrown in with Lions.
But Daniel’s personal relationship with the LORD bestowed the favor of God which included deliverance and/or protection. However, the fate of those that were manipulated into tricking the king, including all their family members, resulted in an unfortunate end. And another king gave testimony as to the Sovereignty of the LORD God. (Daniel chapter 6) Peace . . . Harriet
“But in the end the people of the Most High God shall rule the governments of the world forever and forever.” Daniel 7:18 (TLB)
Daniel was steadfast in the way of God and his personal relationship with Him. Nevertheless, Daniel didn’t only confess his own sins and pray for himself but also confessed the sins of his people and prayed for them (Daniel chapter 9). We too are to pray for our nation and its leaders as we pray for self (1 Timothy 2:1-2)
” Shall I look to the mountain gods for help? No! My help is from Jehovah who made the mountains! And the heavens too! He will never let me stumble, slip or fall. For He is always watching never sleeping. Jehovah Himself is caring for you! He is your defender. He protects you day and night. He keeps you from all evil, and preserves your life. He keeps His eye upon you as you come and go, and always guards you.“ Psalm 121:1-8 (TLB)
“[Not in your own strength] for it Is God Who is all the while effectually at work in you [energizing and creating in you the power and desire], both to will and to work for His good pleasure and satisfaction and delight.” Philippians 2:13 (AMP)
“I don’t want your sacrifices—I want your love; I don’t want your offerings—I want you to know me. But like Adam, you broke my covenant; you refused my love.” Hosea 6:6-7 (TLB)
“The deeply spiritual things mean nothing to the man of sense knowledge, who has dwarfed his spirit nature and keeps it in bondage, undeveloped, like a child confined to a garret without book or instructor.” 1

“Whoever is wise, let him understand these things. Whoever is intelligent, let him listen. For the paths of the LORD are true and right, and good men walk along them. But sinners trying it will fail.” Hosea 14:9 (TLB)
“Take note: I will come as unexpectedly as a thief! Blessed are all who are awaiting Me, who keep their robes in readiness and will not need to walk naked and ashamed.” Revelation 16:15 (TLB)
