Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus,
JESUS paid it all to do (for man) that which man couldn’t do; He put us in position to fellowship and commune with GOD directly (on a personal level). “4-10 The earlier revelation was intended simply to get us ready for the Messiah, who then puts everything right for those who trust him to do it . . . ‘The word that saves is right here, as near as the tongue in your mouth, as close as the heart in your chest.’ It’s the word of faith that welcomes God to go to work and set things right for us. This is the core of our preaching. Say the welcoming word to God — ‘Jesus is my Master’ — embracing, body and soul, God’s work of doing in us what he did in raising Jesus from the dead. That’s it. You’re not “doing” anything; you’re simply calling out to God, trusting him to do it for you. That’s salvation. With your whole being you embrace God setting things right, and then you say it, right out loud: ‘God has set everything right between him and me!” Romans 10:4-10 The Message Bible (MSG).
“1 So now there is no condemnation for those who belong to Christ Jesus. 2 For the power of the life-giving Spirit has freed you through Christ Jesus from the power of sin that leads to death. 3 The law of Moses could not save us, because of our sinful nature. But God put into effect a different plan to save us. He sent his own Son in a human body like ours, except that ours is sinful. God destroyed sin’s control over us by giving his Son as a sacrifice for our sins. 4 He did this so that the requirement of the law would be fully accomplished for us who no longer follow our sinful nature but instead follow the Spirit. 5 Those who are dominated by the sinful nature think about sinful things, but those who are controlled by the Holy Spirit think about things that please the Spirit. 6 If your sinful nature controls your mind, there is death. But if the Holy Spirit controls your mind, there is life and peace. 7 For the sinful nature is always hostile to God. It never did obey God’s laws, and it never will. 8 That’s why those who are still under the control of their sinful nature can never please God. 9 But you are not controlled by your sinful nature. You are controlled by the Spirit if you have the Spirit of God living in you. (And remember that those who do not have the Spirit of Christ living in them are not Christians at all.) 10 Since Christ lives within you, even though your body will die because of sin, your spirit is alive because you have been made right with God. 11 The Spirit of God, who raised Jesus from the dead, lives in you. And just as he raised Christ from the dead, he will give life to your mortal body by this same Spirit living within you. 12 So, dear brothers and sisters, you have no obligation whatsoever to do what your sinful nature urges you to do. 13 For if you keep on following it, you will perish. But if through the power of the Holy Spirit you turn from it and its evil deeds, you will live. 14 For all who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God. 15 So you should not be like cowering, fearful slaves. You should behave instead like God’s very own children, adopted into his family — calling him (‘Abba Father’). 16 For his Holy Spirit speaks to us deep in our hearts and tells us that we are God’s (sons & daughters). 17 And since we are his children, we will share his treasures — for everything God gives to his Son, Christ, is ours too . . . “ Romans 8:1-17 New Living Translation (NLT).
And what did the Lord Jesus receive that those of us who are in Him share even now? “12 . . . power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing.” Revelation 5:12 King James Version (KJV). This is why it is true unto all who are in Him according to Philippians 4:19; He is the reason why those in Him may take healing (Isaiah 53:5; 1Pe 2:24); of His finished work is the reality that e-v-e-r-y aspect of lack is of the enemy (John 10:10), who can only take that which is allowed through speak contrary to the WORD of the Sovereign LORD God Almighty because every Word from God’s mouth does what it is sent to do (Isaiah 45:23 & 55:11). Therefore, God the Father sent the Living Word – Jesus, and He only spoke and did that which the Father said.
Who we are this day, and our development by the (continual) renewing of the mind in the WORD is because JESUS walked in perfect obedience to the will of God the Father. More specifically, the grace of God the Father for the sacrifice of Jesus’ sinless blood made way for the indwelling of the Holy Spirit, Who teaches our recreated or regenerated spirit. JESUS was the mystery of GOD’s plan before the foundation of the world (Romans 16:25; 1Co 2:7-8; Ephesians 3:9-12; Colossians 1:26-27). GOD who is Love so loved us that He sent His own Son as the propitiation for the sins of the world (1 John 4:8-16); and JESUS so loved us that He agreed to the will of God the Father (Ephesians 3:18-19). Therefore, The Blessing which consists of many blessings, and made manifest by faith powered by divine love (Galatians 5:6b) is not because of anything we’ve done (Ephesians 2:8-9); such is the gift of GOD through the finished work of Christ Jesus by which the Holy Spirit is now at work in those who believe and receive.
Speak the promise . . . Harriet
