Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus,
|
Psalm 107:20 |

|
The Amplified Bible |
New King James Version |
The Message Bible |
| “He sends forth His word and heals them and rescues them from the pit and destruction.” (AMP) | “He sent His word and healed them, And delivered them from their destruction.” (NKJV) | “He spoke the word that healed you, that pulled you back from the brink of death.” (MSG) |
Although one version of this Scripture used the adjective(s) in the past tense and the other uses the present tense, each point to JESUS. The Healer is Jesus the Anointed One and His Anointing. The One who heals is JESUS, and The One who “sent” Him is God the Father. As the Apostle John wrote, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life” John 3:16 (KJV).
One of the many titles used in reference to JESUS is The Living Word. God the Father sent us JESUS Whose (sinless) lifeblood pulled man (i.e., male, female) back from the way that leads to eternal death; leading all who believe and confess Him as Savior and Lord into eternal life. JESUS is The Healer. When we use the GOD kind of faith, those in Him only need ask the Father and He will do anything in keeping with His will (1 John 5:14-15; John 16:23; Mark 11:24-25).
As the Holy Spirit “spoke” through the Prophet Isaiah, our chastisement went on JESUS who bore all our sickness and pain. “But he was pierced for our transgression, he was crushed for our iniquities; the punishment that brought us peace was upon him, and by his wounds we are healed” Isaiah 53:5 (NIV).
The blood of JESUS bought and brought healing and health for you & I. JESUS paid it all; He earned it for us; He endured the hard part for us; His suffering on the cross was not because of anything He had done. JESUS walked in perfect obedience to the will of God the Father so that we might (free-will) “believe we receive the finished work of healing and health by the finished work Christ Jesus”. As written by the Apostle Peter, “who Himself bore our sins in His body on the tree, that we having died to sins might live for righteousness — by whose stripes you were healed” 1 Peter 2:24 (NKJV).
The Blessing of Abraham includes healing and health so that we may complete our GOD given assignment(s). Further, whatsoever God the Father bestowed upon our Lord Jesus so too have we received through Him: “Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing” Revelation 5:12 (KJV). The Lord Jesus said, “The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflow) John 10:10 (AMP).
Speak the promise . . . Harriet
