While purchasing a beverage, I saw a student who was buying some items become un-settled when the amount of her purchase showed on the cash register as $6.66. Upon giving voice to her negative reaction in regard to that number, the student immediately obtained additional items for the purpose of changing the number totaled. Clearly, the student’s armor against whatsoever was associated with that specific number rested with the purchase of more stuff. Those reconciled unto the Family of GOD by the blood of Jesus have very effective armor that cost nothing sans putting it on or its application because it was pre-paid. That is, the Lord Jesus paid it all through His life, death and resurrection.

. . . God is strong, and he wants you strong. So take everything the Master has set out for you, well made weapons of the best materials. And put them to use so you will be able to stand up to everything the Devil throws your way. This is no afternoon athletic contest that we’ll walk away from and forget about in a couple of hours. This is for keeps, a life-or-death fight to the finish against the Devil and all his angels. Be prepared. You’re up against far more than you can handle on your own. Take all the help you can get, every weapon God has issued, so that when it’s all over but the shouting you’ll still be on your feet. Truth, righteousness, peace, faith, and salvation are more than words. Learn how to apply them. You’ll need them throughout your life. God’s Word is an indispensable weapon. In the same way prayer is essential in this ongoing warfare. Pray hard and long. Pray for your brothers and sisters. Keep your eyes open. Keep each other’s spirits up so that no one falls behind or drops out. Ephesians 6:10-18 (MSG)

The WORD is the weapon in the whole armor of God; a significant number refer to the Holy Bible as The Sword. Yet Scripture tells us that its even stronger than a two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Therefore, recognize whose voice whispers: “too busy” or “no time” because the last thing the thief who comes to steal and kill and destroy (John 10:10a) wants is the continual renewal of the mind (Ephesians 5:23) by the Teachings of the Holy Spirit. Satan is a defeated foe; the Lord Jesus defeated him at the cross (Colossians 2:15). Therefore, we are set-apart to walk or operate in the Ministry of Authority given unto each of us in Christ Jesus for the benefit of self and others to the glory of GOD.
