Dear Sisters and Brothers in Jesus the Christ,

A significant number of us endeavor to do a work for God the Father in an earnest yet mistaken attempt to repay His love and grace and faithfulness towards us; for sending the Living Word to dwell among us and sacrifice His sinless lifeblood that we might (free will) receive the right to become children of God with full restoration of every right and privilege as heirs of God and co-heirs with Christ (John 1:14; Romans 8:17; Galatians 4:1-7); and for sending the Holy Spirit (Galatians 3:14; Joel 2:28; Acts 1:5 & 2:4; 2Co 5:5; Ephesians 1:13). These earnest yet mistaken attempts of works may include: no make-up or cosmetics, fasting for any purpose other than clarity by the Holy Spirit, adhering to a specific regimen, etcetera. Here’s the thing: Jesus did all the work; He paid the full price of salvation and the benefits package thereof by walking in perfect obedience to the will of God the Father, and holds the keys of death and Hades (Revelation 1:18). Now, a full grown man is seated at the right hand of God the Father, far above all rule and authority (i.e., evil spirits, principalities, powers, might and dominion) with the Name above all names “[above every title that can be conferred], not only in this age and in this world, but also in the age and the world which are to comeEphesians 1:20-22 (AMP). Further, all in Him (those who Acts 2:21,38 or Romans 10:9,13) are also raised and seated with Christ (Ephesians 2:6). Note the past tense, for it is already done. God the Father already sees all reconciled unto Him by the blood of Jesus in the same way that He sees Christ; the only action that can change this fact involves turning your back on the Lord Jesus (1 John 5:16b,c).

Although we take great care in regard to our own behavior so as not to stumble others (whether they be the saved who are citizens in God’s Kingdom of Light or the lost who are in darkness), the benefits package inherit with salvation neither implies nor infers a lackadaisical approach to life on this side of Heaven. In other words, it isn’t about standing gratefully and joyfully at The Cross (the point of salvation). Rather, it is about moving beyond the line of salvation into all of the things of God bestowed by the finished work of Christ Jesus; for everything bestowed by Abba Father unto the Lord Jesus: “power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessingRevelation 5:12 (KJV), so too have we received. It is written, “The blessing of the LORD makes rich, and He adds no sorrow with itProverbs 10:22. Believers are blessed to be a blessing: to birth new citizens into God’s Kingdom of Light, to bring healing to the sick, to cause finances to come to those in need, and to bring God’s compassionate love to the brokenhearted. Believers are to put on the full armor of God daily, endeavoring to fulfill the sacred ministry-of-authority in the Name above all names. Believers are to make up the hedge or stand in the gap praying, in Jesus’ name, to Abba Father “in the Spirit ‘on all occasions‘ with all kinds of prayers and requests . . . for all of the saintsEphesians 6:18 (NIV) & Luke 18:1.

Believers may know, through revelation of the information in the Word of God by the Holy Spirit, that prayers of supplication are for the saints – the saved or those born again . . . of water and the Spirit” John 3:5 (KJV) who are Believers as well as for those in authority (1 Timothy 2:1-2) whether they be saved or un-saved/un-believers; whereas intercessory prayer is for the lost or un-saved/un-believers who are not in positions of authority. Although the elect existed before the birth, death and resurrection of Jesus the Christ, none were saved or born again until after the Blood. Therefore, intercessory prayer was always made such as:

  • by Abraham for Sodom & Gomorrah (Genesis 18:23-33) which saved Lot and almost all of his family
  • by Moses for those of the Old Testament/Old Covenant who seemed to always be just a hair-trigger from rebel mode (Exodus 32:11-14; Numbers 14:11-19)
  • by Daniel for the Nation (Daniel 9:4-19) that brought Gabriel, the Angel of the LORD
  • by the Messiah – Jesus the Christ (John 17:6-26) for His Disciples and future Believers who would become partakers of the New Testament/New Covenant.

Believers must be led by the Spirit, “the most effective prayer is prayer the Holy Spirit inspires which is needed at the moment — whether it is the prayer of agreement, the prayer of faith, the prayer of praise and worship, or some other type of prayer.”1  There is far too much evidence of the thief whose only purpose is to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10a). We must be led by the Holy Spirit for the manifestations of the works of faith to establish God’s covenant in the earth; all to the honor, praise and glory of God the Father with thanksgiving, in the Name above all names, Amen.

Speak the promise . . . Harriet
