Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus,
“But solid food belongs to those who are of full age, that is, those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern both good and evil.” Hebrews 5:14 (NKJV)
The WORD of God is nourishment, and to sow it on a consistent basis is exercise which develops the reborn spirit. Relationship with God moves one from the milk of the WORD to the meat of the WORD. Relationship is two-way in that there is give and take between those involved. Such is especially true in communication which involves both talking with and listening to. One person doing all of the talking and all the taking (a significant amount of the time) will not facilitate development of the bond between the two. Developing a personal or one-to-one relationship with God involves talking with Him and listening to Him. Of course, in talking to The Omniscient God, we are not telling Abba Father anything that He wasn’t aware of even before we did it (whether or not in keeping with His Will). Rather, it is right standing by the blood of Jesus, that bestows the freedom to enter into His presence whenever; and by listening in obedience to Him we are strengthened to discern good and evil because we have the mind of Christ and the wisdom of God is being formed within us (see 1 Corinthians 2:16).
The Living Word – JESUS told (and still tells) us to Matthew 6:33; and we may find the things of God’s Kingdom of Light in the WORD. Those rendered sons and daughters of God by the blood of Jesus are perfected by the WORD through the gifts of Jesus – the fivefold ministry (service) of Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers. Hence, we pray that those who claim these were truly called by God (rather than self); and we pray for those “called” so that none of us become “dull of hearing” as we endeavor to fulfill our individual assignment(s) toward “bricking” God’s Kingdom of Light on earth. Discernment as to ministry in keeping with Scripture is of developing a personal relationship with God through Christ Jesus by the power of the Holy Spirit; and that which we learn and receive of the LORD God by the WORD is so that we may have the fruit of the spirit and reproduce the same to the glory of God. More specifically, love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-discipline.
Our Lord Jesus said, “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid. . . . In this world ye shall have tribulation: but be if good cheer; I have overcome the world.” John 14:27 & 16:33 (KJV). Tribulation or tests & trials which are of the enemy of God are designed to weaken; curses are of Satan who comes to “kill, steal, and destroy”. (God does not apply a curse in order to teach; sickness cannot survive in the presence of God, therefore He couldn’t hand it to you.) Abba Father sent Jesus Who agreed to come and take from man every aspect of lack upon Himself; hence we move from healing to health by His all-redeeming, re-creating, reconciling, pacifying, all-restoring blood. The Lord Jesus did all of this so that we might (free-will) have it; and I receive God’s gift with a grateful heart. Therefore, I may have peace even in the midst of the attacks from the enemy of God because the DNA of my reborn spirit is of Yahweh/Jehovah Shalom – The LORD is Peace. Hallelujah! (read – Isaiah 40:13; John 15:15; Galatians 5:22; John 10:10; 1Jn 5:5; Romans 8:3; 1Pe 1;0:18-19; Ephesians 2:8-9; Galatians 2:20).
Speak the promise . . . Harriet
