Labor Unto . . .
The labor of sons & daughters of GOD is that which is spent in His Word to manifest the promises of God by faith. Reading, studying, meditating, muttering, and speaking God’s Word will bring revelation by the Holy Spirit as to who you are and Whose you and what you have been given by the redemptive work of Christ Jesus. Faith speaks in the way of the Lord Jesus who spoke only as He heard of God the Father (John 5:19 & 8:26b, 28, 38 & 12:49-50 & 14:10, 24b).
Therefore, those “in Christ” talk like Him to manifest by faith that which God has already given. Yet revelation knowledge of that bestowed of God the Father by the finished work of Christ Jesus precedes one’s ability to believe and receive. The Lord Jesus said, “For this reason I am telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will [get it]” Mark 11:24 (AMP).
- Faith calls forth out of the spiritual realm in the way of God Who said, “Let there be light” and it was (Genesis 1:3).
- Faith comes by hearing the Word of God (Romans 10:17).
- Faith involves doing (James 1:22).
The promises of God are not hidden from those reconciled unto Him by the blood of Jesus (Matthew 13:11) but there are those with eyes and ears who neither see nor hear (Isaiah 6:9-10). Such includes a significant number of the redeemed, regardless of title, who might not see because they operate by doubt and fear rather than by faith. For trained to conform to the way of the world from infancy, transformation by renewal of the mind in God’s Word must be ongoing (Romans 12:2; 2Co 4:16; Titus 3:5). The way of the world is to speak the problem whereas the way of God is to speak the promise.
- Labor in God’s Word which produces faith from out of the re-created or regenerated or reborn spirit.
- Labor in the Word of God that’ll produce the shield of faith which strengthens to “walk by faith not by sight” (2Co 5:7).
- Labor in the Word of God which produces the spiritual strength to release the faith that stands on His promises.
