Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus,

What does it actually mean to say that we give all “honor to God”? After all, even non-believers use the phrase “honor to God” when trying to express seriousness within the conversation at hand. The dictionary reference in my study Bible states that to honor involves treating with respect or reverence, having a good reputation, and characterized by integrity¹; and as stated in cross-key musing number three hundred and forty-two, to fear the LORD God Almighty refers to having reverential respect and divine love for He Who is Sovereign. Those made sons and daughters of the LORD God Almighty by the blood of our Lord Jesus may know that to have the fear of the LORD can’t be in reference to distrust, alarm or anxiety because the WORD tells us that we are to be anxious about nothing, and to cast all our of our anxiety on Him because an anxious heart weighs down (see Philippians 4:6; 1Pe 5:7; Proverbs 12:25a). Sons and daughters of Abba Father are to allow the peace of Yahweh Shalom/Jehovah Shalom to rule because in Him we have been given peace (see John 14:27 & 16:33) and that which Abba Father does for one of His sons or daughters is done for all those zealous for Him; we too have received His covenant of peace (see Colossians 3:15; Numbers 25:12; Psalm 29:11). Therefore, regardless of what’s going on in the world’s economy in the natural realm, the faith walk of a Believer is never about going down . . . our Lord Jesus went down so that we may perpetually go up. Of course, the enemy of God can be counted on for every attempt to bring down; hence by the (continual) renewing of the mind in the WORD by the power of the Holy Spirit we may both comprehend the WORD of God and apply or do the WORD which includes “Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ2 Corinthians 10:5 (KJV). According to Funk & Wagnalls (1989) New International Dictionary Of The English Language, the definition for honor is as follows: hon·or  (on??r)  n.  1  Consideration due or paid as to worth; respectful regard.  4  That to which respect is due; a cause of esteem. Moreover, to regard with honor involves doing that which exemplifies respect. Therefore, giving all “honor to God” involves worship and respect. The question(s) is: Does our daily behavior inside of the home as well as outside of the home reflect the fact that God is worthy of respect and honor? Do we honor the promises given in God’s Word? Do we honor the fact that God guaranteed these promises by the blood of His Only Begotten Son-Yeshua/Jesus? Do we honor the Holy Spirit Who is sealed with us until Christ Jesus’ return? If so, if we honor God, then we are as faithful to Him as He is to each of us. If so, if we honor God, then we trust Him which necessarily means we believe His thoughts to be true (see Romans 3:3-4). If so, if we honor God, then it is true unto you (as I) according to the WORD of God by the blood of Jesus. The tender of this great country says: “In God We Trust”; I trust God.

Speak the promise . . . Harriet
