Justified By God’s Grace . . .
“4 But after that the kindness and love of God our Saviour toward man appeared, 5 Not by works of righteousness which we have done, but according to His mercy He saved us, by the washing of regeneration, and renewing of the Holy Ghost; 6 (who) He shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Saviour; 7 That being justified by His grace, we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life.” Titus 3:4-7 (KJV)
“4 But when the goodness and loving-kindness of God our Savior to man [as man] appeared, 5 He saved us, not because of any works of righteousness that we had done, but because of His own pity and mercy, by [the] cleansing [bath] of the new birth (regeneration) and renewing of the Holy Spirit, 6 Which He poured out [so] richly upon us through Jesus Christ our Savior. 7 [And He did it in order] that we might be justified by His grace (by His favor, wholly undeserved), [that we might be acknowledged and counted as conformed to the divine will in purpose, thought, and action], and that we might become heirs of eternal life according to [our] hope.” Titus 3:4-7 (AMPC)
The first Adam transgressed by using his own free-will in disobedience to God’s always life-sustaining command or instruction (read Genesis 2:8-17 & 3:1-6) ushering sin that infected everything including mankind (i.e., man/male, woman/female). The Truth that contamination is unable to survive in the presence of YHWH (with inserted vowels YAHWEH transliterated JEHOVAH commonly interpreted the LORD) resulted in the cease of mankind’s direct communication with the LORD God, analogous to a severed telephone line. Subsequently, the departure of the Holy Spirit as well as the Angels of God from earth. However, Isaiah 55:11 reveals that every Word sent forth from the mouth of the LORD God must accomplish that for which it’s sent; never returning void of its assignment. Therefore, the keys (so to speak) re mankind’s God-given assignment to “Be fruitful, and multiply, and replenish the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moveth upon the earth.” Genesis 1:28 (KJV); these keys turned over to satan had to be reclaimed with authority for mankind.
Regardless of people giving evidence of little or absolute disregard for the ever compassionate Sovereign Lord God Almighty, Scripture reveals that the LORD entered blood covenant after blood covenant after blood covenant with mankind, speaking through the Holy Spirit to God’s chosen Prophets as well as sending the Angels of God while awaiting the mystery of God’s plan (to reconcile mankind unto Himself) was revealed in Jesus the Anointed One and His Anointing. “Which none of the princes of this world knew: for had they known it, they would not have crucified the Lord of glory” 1 Corinthians 2:8 (KJV). YESHUA/JESUS – the last Adam walked in perfect obedience to the will of God the Father on behalf of all mankind. The Seed of God, as prophesied through Isaiah (read Luke Matthew 1:18-24; Luke 1:26-38 & 2:1-14) was born sans sin; and though tried by the tempter, the Lord Jesus walked sans sin thereby defeating the devil and all his cohorts. Hence, the New Covenant between the LORD God and mankind was ratified by the sinless blood of JESUS (read Colossians 1:20 & 2:14-15; Isaiah 53:5; 1Pe 2:24; Romans 3:25; 1Jn 2:2 &4:10); and the Holy Spirit, whose Ministry returned to earth, is sealed with the saved.
A few of my daily (often personalized) confessions re Salvation include:
- Ephesians 2:8-9 – “For through grace are you saved by faith and that not of yourselves, it is the gift of God; Not by works less any man should boast.”
- Galatians 2:20 – “I am crucified with Christ, nevertheless I live. Yet not I but Christ lives in me; and the life I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God who loved me and gave Himself for me.
- Romans 3:23 – “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God.”
- Acts 2:38 – “and Peter said, ‘Repent and be baptized every one of you in the Name of Jesus for the remission of sins; and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Spirit.’”
- Acts 4:12 – “Neither is salvation in any other; for there is no other Name under heaven, given unto men by which we must be saved.”
- 2 Corinthians 5:17 – “Therefore, if any person be in Christ they are a new creature; old things have passed away, behold all things are become new.”
All glory to God the Father, with thanksgiving in Jesus’ Name.
