Who puts nations and kings in his power?Isaiah 41:2b (CEV)

Evil people must be removed before anyone can rule with justice.Proverbs 25:5 (CEV)

Genesis 1:26-27 states that the LORD God created humankind in His image or likeness or character and gave us dominion over the earth with the command to replenish. The LORD God never desired robots which necessarily means that to succeed in our assignment(s) requires comprehension of the essence of the LORD God via personal relationship with Him. Yet throughout history humankind has exemplified a propensity to be hard-headed or as described re partakers of the Old Covenant “stiff-necked”. More specifically, a propensity to ignore the advice of the LORD God, and even attempt to get ahead of Him which is dangerous (to say the least). For though satan lost divine wisdom when cast down, he is still far cleverer than humans re chicanery, after the first Adam’s use of free-will to ignore God’s advice and “go along” with the fact that his wife was being deceived (Genesis 2:16-17 & 3:1-6). The first Adam received revelation directly from the LORD God, as it would be centuries before the Written Word became widely accessible.

At present, a significant number have access to the Written Word of God as well as the Living Word – Christ Jesus, and the Living Water – the Holy Spirit. Nevertheless, a significant number continue to “go along”. The LORD God took ten tribes away from King Solomon due to his free-will decisions contrary to God’s advice. (And) the LORD God gave the ten tribes to Jeroboam making him a king; thus, one might deem obedience to God as a forgone conclusion. However, more concern for himself as opposed to the betterment of the nation, resulted in the creation of golden calves for people to worship causing the entire nation to sin (1 Kings 11:29-38 & 12:25-33 & 15:30). How is it that a nation who knew the law of Moses for decades upon decades would “go along” with idol worship? (And) How is it that Ambassadors-of-Christ excuse mean-spirited, un-godly behavior and “go along”? For the called-out ones (Colossians 1:13) weren’t called out to “go along”.
