The Mediator . . .
- “I was watching in the night visions, And, behold, One like the Son of Man, Coming with the clouds of heaven! He came to the Ancient of Days, And they brought Him near before Him. Then to Him was given dominion and glory, and a kingdom, That all peoples, nations, and languages, should serve Him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, Which shall not pass away, and his kingdom the one Which shall not be destroyed.” Daniel 7:13-14 (NKJV)
The Word of God is the Living Expression of God; it is the message of YHWH (with inserted vowels YAHWEH transliterated JEHOVAH commonly interpreted the LORD); and the Truth that the Word of God became flesh indicates that YESHUA/JESUS is The Messenger – the Living Expression of the LORD God. For He had made God known to us.
- John 1:14 (TPT) – “And so the Living Expression became a man and lived among us. . . . . Moses gave us the Law, but Jesus, the Anointed One, unveils truth wrapped in tender mercy. No one ever before gazed upon the full splendor of God except his uniquely beloved Son, who is cherished by the Father ad held close to his heart. Now that he has come to us, he has unfolded the full explanation of who God truly is! ”
- John 1:14 (AMPC) – “And the Word (Christ) became flesh (human, incarnate) and tabernacled (fixed His tent of flesh, lived awhile) among us; . . . . For while the Law was given through Moses, grace (unearned, undeserved favor and spiritual blessing) and truth came through Jesus Christ. [Exod.20:1.] No man has ever seen God at any time; the only unique Son, or the only begotten God, Who is in the bosom [in the intimate presence] of the Father, He has declared Him [He has revealed Him and brought Him out where He can be seen; He has interpreted Him and He has made Him known]. [Prov. 8:30.]”
- John 1:14,17-18 (MSG) – “The Word became flesh and blood, and moved into the neighborhood. . . . . We got the basics from Moses, and then this exuberant giving and receiving. This endless knowing and understanding — all this came through Jesus, the Messiah. No one has ever seen God, not so much as a glimpse. This one-of-a-kind God Expression, who exists at the very heart of the Father, had made him plain as day.”
To reiterate, the Word of God made flesh is Christ Jesus – The Healer and personification of LOVE; of which the root word of Christianity is Christ. Therefore, to be a Christian involves endeavoring to be Christ like. For the mystery of God’s plan to reconcile mankind unto Himself was revealed in Jesus the Christ who walked in perfect obedience to the will of God the Father on behalf of all mankind. That is, redemption by the blood of Jesus that obliterates the sin nature (into which all mankind is born due to the free-will transgression of the first Adam) results in a reborn spirit that allows those who believe and confess Christ Jesus to be reconciled unto the Family of God with all the rights & privileges gifted to sons & daughters of God.
Recently I viewed social media posts that indicated a lack of awareness relative to Christianity and what being Christ like involves:
- An unbeliever’s retort that it was archaic to refer to an act of kindness as Christian.
- Jesus Christ is The Healer; Is healing archaic?
- An advertisement re the 160th year of a terrorist organization calling for white folk who are protestant. (To say the lease), such displayed a lack of awareness as to the formation of Protestantism initiated by Martin Luther’s written protest nailed to a Church Door concerning misinformation regarding the way of God.
- Jesus the Christ is the personification of LOVE who is GOD.
There are a plethora of denominations and non-denominations under the umbrella (so to speak) of Christianity: Catholic, Protestant, Pentecostal, Baptist, Lutheran, Methodist, African Methodist Episcopal, Presbyterian, etcetera; and the commonality throughout is belief (faith) in Jesus the Christ. For the LORD God comes by faith & invitation, Christ Jesus comes by faith & confession, and the Holy Spirit makes manifest by faith & love. All by the grace of God to His glory, with thanksgiving in Jesus’ Name.
- “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not by works, lest anyone should boast. For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.” Ephesians 2:7-10 (NKJV)
