Ye have heard that it hath been said, Thou shalt love thy neighbour and hate thine enemy.  But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and pray for them which despitefully use you, and persecute you.Matthew 5:43-44 (KJV)

As an Ambassador of Christ, I desire that my actions reflect the way of YHWH (with inserted vowels YAHWEH transliterated JEHOVAH commonly interpreted the LORD) as YESHUA/JESUS exemplified the way we were created to operate in the world. Yet recently I was amazed when, after being awakened at 6:00 a.m. by the text of a cousin attempting to curse me, I responded by speaking a blessing; in turn, she responded by repeating the same curse word to which I responded with a heart emoji. Satan sends his cohorts via flesh and blood to provoke any speak out of one’s own mouth that’ll allow or give the devil permission to wreak havoc. Refusal to return ungodly behavior with more of the same, neither infers nor renders a person a doormat. For the LORD God doesn’t call us into the Kingdom of His only begotten Son to tolerate ill will or abusive behavior (i.e., emotional, psychological, physical). In other words, praying for the person being preyed upon by the devil doesn’t require being in their presence. The Sovereign Lord God Almighty is Omniscient, Omnipresent, and Omnipotent which necessarily means there is neither any stronger nor wiser. Although the devil may be more clever than fallen man, YESHUA/JESUS defeated the devil and all his cohorts which renders any aspect of demonic activity illegal in any area or aspect of those “in Christ”. If every Christian were to utilize the Ministry-of-Authority bestowed by the redemptive work of Christ Jesus, malevolence and malfeasance would be nipped before it rooted. The bottom line is that my response had less to do with my sharp wit upon being awakened by the ding of a text but had everything to do with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. As it is written, “if anyone is in Christ, they are a new creation. Old things have passed away; behold all things are become new” (2 Corinthians 5:17). The power of the LORD God helps us which is the Anointing in us and upon us and through us, in the person of the Holy Spirit; His Ministry returned to earth upon the finished work of Christ Jesus on behalf of all mankind. Therefore, as previously relayed, putting on the whole armor of God as per Ephesians 6:11-18 isn’t a one-time thing; it’ll uphold your love-walk when the devil sends his cohorts via flesh & blood. God’s Spirit within by the blood of Jesus is the power to manifest in the way of the LORD.
