Dear Sisters and Brothers in Jesus the Christ,
There are many benefits of getting to know the LORD God Almighty, Creator of Heaven and earth, one of which is being familiar with His character or personality or nature or essence, and His will through Christ Jesus; and for those born anew, who now have a re-created or regenerated spirit, such is also our character. That is, man (i.e., male, female) who was created in the likeness or image of God before the fall or the offense of the first Adam, may (free-will) now have a re-created spirit-man because of the selfless and life-giving act of the last Adam who is Jesus the Anointed One. In other words, you and I received far more than salvation by the blood of Jesus. Therefore, the more we understand God’s character is the more we come to understand our own true character, and His power by which those called-out to manifest His covenant on earth as it is in Heaven are enabled or equipped to do. That is, you and I were called or predestined for God’s (always good) purpose, and He sends you and I with everything necessary to fulfill or satisfy our individual assignment(s) for the benefit of the collective – the church which is the Body of Christ. We may know God’s character, His likes and dislikes, His will, by the WORD; and revelation thereof by the teachings of God the Holy Spirit who God the Son asked God the Father to send so that we would not be without a Counselor nor comfortless. Our Lord Jesus is referred to as the Living Word because He only spoke that which God the Father said and He only did (applied or acted upon) that which Abba Father told Him to do; Apostle Paul stated, “Christ Jesus is the Revealer and Mediator of (God’s) will” 1Th 5:18b (AMP). In Him we too are to say that which God said, and do in keeping with God’s will; and in so doing we may be as confident as our Lord Jesus that Abba Father hears us whatsoever we ask, in Jesus’ Name. The key is to spend quality time with God through Christ Jesus for clarity as to exactly who is speaking to us because the enemy of God also speaks. Clarity relative to the ability to recognize the voice of God comes of knowing God’s character, that He is love, that He desires our love, and that He commands us to love one another with the God kind of love; this is the love that powers faith. Divine love is ever faithful whereas natural love is flighty (here today and gone tomorrow). God will never tell you to harm yourself or anyone else; we may know that every ill-fated whisper is of the enemy of God because Jesus told us: “The thief’s purpose is to steal and kill and destroy. My purpose is to give life in all its fullness” John 10:10 (NLT). Be assured that Satan is a defeated foe because Jesus triumphed over him at The Cross for all mankind – whosoever shall receive Him; and the whole armor of God is at the ready for whosoever in Him puts it on. In other words, we must do or apply the WORD. “We use God’s mighty weapons, not mere worldly weapons, to knock down the Devil’s strongholds” 2 Corinthians 10:4 (NLT).
