Dear Sisters and Brothers in Jesus the Christ,

“For though we walk (live) in the flesh, we are not carrying on our warfare according to flesh and using mere human weapons. For the weapons of our warfare are not physical [weapons of flesh and blood], but they are mighty before God for the overthrow and destruction of strongholds.” 2 Corinthians 10:3-5 (AMP)

Guns have always been a factor in the U.S.A. but satan has been ramping-up. In reference to the thief that only comes to steal and kill and destroy (John 10:10), I’ve heard it preached that this fallen angel (Luke 10:18; Isaiah 14:12-15) has neglected to read the end of The Good Book but such is debatable because Luke 4:3-12 indicates otherwise. What is clear, however, is that this thief intends to keep as many as possible out of the Kingdom of GOD so that they might accompany him into the pit of hell. These are the last days, and rocket science isn’t required to become aware of increased demonic activity. Nevertheless, Jesus the Anointed One – The Messiah – The Great Apostle/The Sent One – the Root – the bright Morning Star – the Son of Man – the Bread of life – the Light of the world – the Gate – the Good Shepherd – the Vine – the Living Word, defeated the devil and his cohorts at the cross, descended into hell, and took back the keys of death and Hades on behalf of all mankind (Isaiah 53:2-12; John 1:14, & 6:27,35 & 8:12 & 10:7,11 & 15:1; Colossians 2:15; Revelation 1:18). By the power of the Holy Spirit, God the Father raised Christ Jesus from the dead, seated Him at His (own) right hand, gave Him the Name above every name, placed all things under His feet, and appointed Him the universal and supreme Head of the church which is His Body (Ephesians 1:20-23 [AMP]). BUT WAIT, THAT’S NOT ALL . . . everything the Father bestowed Christ Jesus: “power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honour, and glory, and blessing” Revelation 5:12 (KJV), so too have Believers received, that we may do. The authority which God the Father bestowed the Lord Jesus, He has given those of the Body of Christ – those who believe and confess Him (Romans 10:9; Acts 2:21). These are they who are redeemed, re-created, reconciled, and restored all rights and privileges as sons & daughters of God the Father. The Lord Jesus paid-it- all, He did the hard part; yet we too have a part which involves far more than awaiting the Second Coming of Christ (Revelation 22:7,12,20). Our part includes comprehension and application of the Word of God. That is, to believe and act, to pray and do. Believers aren’t commissioned to pray to GOD about the devil; we are commissioned to do something about this defeated foe – to bind and loose with authority in the Name above all names (Matthew 16:19 & 18:18; Mark 16:15-18; John 14:12; Philippians 2:9). Believers aren’t commissioned to hate; we are commanded to love with the God kind of love (John 13:34 & 15:12,17). Though a significant number allow the power of God within to remain dormant, the fact remains that His power is in every Believer to enable success in our God given assignment (Acts 1:8; Ephesians 3:20; Colossians 1:11). Believers are sealed with the Holy Spirit who teaches and reminds us of all things Jesus (John 14:26 & 16:13; Ephesians 4:30) as well as immediate access to the power weapons of GOD including:

  • The Word of GOD – the Sword of the re-created spirit
  • The Name above all names
  • The Blood of Jesus
  • The whole armor of GOD
    • Truth
    • Righteousness
    • Peace
    • Faith
    • Salvation
    • The Word of God – the Sword
    • Prayer (all kind – supplication, intercession, etc.)
  • Anointing Oil
  • Angels of GOD (ministering spirits who only  move in keeping with the Word of God)
  • Exaltation (praise and worship of GOD)
  • Ministry of Authority

Prayer: “LORD, I accept Thy gracious word. I believe that Thou hast thus wrought for me. In humble faith I do now take my seat in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus at Thy right hand. Teach me how to fulfill this sacred ministry, how to exercise the authority which Thou hast entrusted to me. Train me day by day that I may attain to the full stature of the perfect person in Christ, so that in me Thy purpose of the ages may be fulfilled. Amen.”1

The Living Word tells us to pray (ask) Abba Father, in Jesus’ name; hence we may speak or personalize the aforementioned prayer by MacMillan in first person.
