Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus,

The promises of YHWH (with inserted vowels YAHWEH transliterated JEHOVAH commonly interpreted the LORD) Who became our Heavenly Father by the redemptive work of Christ Jesus, are gifts by the grace or unmerited favor of God as the Apostle Paul tells us in Ephesians 2:8-9,

  • “For by grace are ye saved through faith; and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God; not of works, lest any man should boast.(KJV)

The gift of God’s only begotten Son – Jesus the Anointed One and His Anointing was (and is) to the whole wide world, whereas the gift of the Holy Ghost/the Spirit of God/the Holy Spirit is given to those who’ve received or accepted the gift of the Lord Jesus. These experiences are what the Apostle Peter relays to us in Acts 2:38,

  • Repent and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.(KJV)

The necessity of repentance was the Ministry of John the Baptist paving the way to the Ministry of the Lord Jesus regarding salvation that unlocked the Ministry of the Holy Spirit. That those who’ve confessed the Lord Jesus, may receive the infilling  as relayed by the Apostle Paul in Galatians 3:13-14,

  • Christ hath redeemed us from the curse of the law, being made a curse for us . . . . that the blessing of Abraham might come upon (us) through Christ Jesus; that we might receive the promise of the Spirit through faith. (KJV)

Therefore, those reconciled to God by the redemptive work of Christ Jesus aren’t required to “tarry” for the Holy Spirit because Abba Father gifted Him to us after the Resurrection and Ascension of the Lord Jesus. The outpouring of the Holy Spirit was made manifest at Pentecost (approximately five weeks after that which a significant number refer to as Resurrection Sunday). The Ministry of the Holy Spirit had to be returned to earth because His departure was caused by the first Adam’s free-will decision to disobey the LORD God (refer to Genesis 2:16 – 3:6). For such ushered sin into the earth resulting in spiritual death between God and all mankind because sin can’t survive in the presence of the Sovereign Lord God Almighty. It is through the New Covenant ratified by the blood of Jesus, partakers become branches on the Vine as relayed by the Living Word in John 15:1-8,

  • I am the sprouting vine and you’re my branches. As you live in union with me as your source, fruitfulness will stream from within you—but when you live separated from me you are powerless. . . . But if you live in life-union with me and if my words live powerfully within you—then you can ask whatever you desire and it will be done. When your lives bear abundant fruit, you demonstrate that you are my mature disciples who glorify my Father!(TPT)

Although the promises of God have been gifted to all “in Christ”, any gift must first be received or accepted which bespeaks the mature believer. Maturity conveys further development of two other gifts of the LORD God given at the onset of salvation: (a) “the measure of faith” which is powered or operated by (b) the God-kind of love (refer to Romans 12:3b; Galatians 5:6; Romans 5:5b). As it is written:

  • For we walk by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7 (KJV)

Faith believes in God as well as believes God. Faith expresses full confidence that the promises of God are our rightful inheritance restored by the finished work of Christ Jesus who emphasized having the God-kind of faith:

  • Truly I tell you, whoever says to this mountain, Be lifted up and thrown into the sea! And does not doubt at all in his heart but believes that what he says will take place, it will be done for him. For this reason I am telling you, whatever you ask for in prayer, believe (trust and be confident) that it is granted to you, and you will [get it]. And whenever you stand praying, if you have anything against anyone, forgive him and let it drop (leave it, let it go), that your Father Who is in heaven may also forgive your [own] failings and shortcomings and let them drop.Mark 11:23-25 (AMPC)

Personal quality time with the LORD via prayer and in God’s Word for revelation of the information therein through the Teaching of the Holy Spirit facilitates growth whereby, through the power of the Holy Spirit, we manifest The Blessing of Abraham (material) and the fullness thereof (spiritual & material) by the redemptive work of Christ Jesus for self and others. For those reconciled by the blood of Jesus as sons & daughters of God are blessed to BE a blessing. However, the LORD God created mankind with free-will in which He’ll never interfere. Nevertheless, God advises or commands or directs or instructs us (always) toward good. As relayed through the Prophet Moses in Deuteronomy 30:19-20,

  • . . . I have set before you life and death, the blessing and the curse. Therefore choose life, that you may live, you and your descendants, to love Yahweh your God, to obey his voice, and to cling to him; for he is your life and the length of your days . . . . . (WEB)
