The Anointing (Part I) . . .
The Anointing is in each and every person reconciled unto GOD by the blood of Jesus. The personification of The Anointing is the Holy Spirit who is a person (not an “it”). Those reconciled unto God the Father by the redemptive work of Christ Jesus have been individually gifted with the indwelling of the Holy Spirit; and every recipient is entitled to the fullness thereof as evidenced by speaking in tongues which is a special language given by the Holy Spirit to those rendered sons & daughters of GOD by the blood of Jesus. Praying in tongues is a sure thing because the Holy Spirit helps with this private language between the pray-er and God (Romans 8:26-27; 1Co 14:2-3). All manner of prayer i.e., intercession, supplication, praying in the Spirit or praying in tongues, etc. is part of the whole armor of God as well as a power weapon of God. Hence, Scripture encourages sons & daughters of God to:
“Pray at all times and on every occasion in the power of the Holy Spirit. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all Christians everywhere” Ephesians 6:18 (NLT).
“Pray at all times (on every occasion, in every season) in the Spirit, with all [manner of] prayer and entreaty. To that end keep alert and watch with strong purpose and perseverance, interceding in behalf of all the saints (God’s consecrated people)” Ephesians 6:18 (AMP).
The five-fold ministry gifts of Christ Jesus are for the edification of the church; the building up of the body of Christ until we all reach unity in faith and in the knowledge of Him; a level of maturity in terms of the full measure of Christ Jesus (Ephesians 4:11-13). Such necessarily includes the ability to grasp the full dimensions of Christ Jesus’ love that surpasses knowledge, into the full measure of God (Ephesians 3:18-19). And there is no conflict with the manifestations of the Holy Spirit (1Co 12:7-10). As advised via 1 Corinthians 14:39, “. . . do not forbid speaking in tongues.” May the policies & procedures of man remain in sync with God’s Word to such an extent that miracles, signs, and wonders abound to the honor and praise and glory of God the Father, with thanksgiving in Jesus’ Name, Amen.
