1. YHWH (with inserted vowels YAHWEH transliterated JEHOVAH commonly interpreted the LORD) – God the Father; The Omnipresent and Omniscient and Omnipotent One; The Sovereign Lord God Almighty . . . .
  1. YESHUA/JESUS – the only begotten Son of God; Emmanuel – God with us; Jesus the Anointed One and His Anointing; The Christ; The Messiah; Son of Man – the first in line of all humanity . . . .
  1. Holy Spirit – Spirit of (the) Living God; the Spirit of truth; Comforter; Counselor; Teacher; the Spirit of Christ; The Anointing upon those reconciled unto God by the redemptive work of Christ Jesus . . . .

The power within is of the LORD God.

Our access to God’s power through the Holy Spirit was paid-in-full by the spotless blood of Jesus – The Christ.

The manifest promises of God by the power within is the Anointing upon us enacted by faith in God’s super on our natural through the Holy Spirit.

That which the Lord Jesus told us, is stated in the King James Version (KJV), The Passion Translation (TPT), and The Message (MSG) regarding our ability to access the power of God as follows:

  • Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on me, the works that I do shall he do also; and greater works than these because I go unto my Father. John 14:12 (KJV)
  • I tell you this timeless truth: The person who follows me in faith, believing in me, will do the same mighty miracles that I do—even greater miracles than these because I go to be with my Father!John 14:12 (TPT)
  • The person who trusts me will not only do what I’m doing but even greater things, because I, on my way to the Father, am giving you the same work to do that I’ve been doing. John 14:12 (MSG)

There are Christians who follow the way of the Lord Jesus, and there are Christians who follow their own desires. The person helping those endeavoring to follow in the way of the Lord Jesus is the Spirit of God by whose power the “greater works” are made manifest. Therefore, the Lord Jesus advised all humankind to: “Seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousnessMatthew 6:33; and the Apostle Paul was writing to Christians when he stated that: “The Kingdom of God is not just talking; it is living by God’s power1 Corinthians 4:20 (TLB). Yet, access to God’s power requires relationship with Him through Christ Jesus which involves seeking Him who is never in hiding. Further, revelation of the information in the Word of God through the Teaching of the Holy Spirit tells us that relationship with the LORD God is by faith, spirit to Spirit in prayer as prayer builds up our own spirit which connects with the Spirit of God through whom the power of the LORD God is made manifest (read John 4:23-24; Romans 8:14-27; Jude 1:20).

  • But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you, and you shall be witnesses of Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and unto the uttermost part of the earth.Acts 1:8 (NKJV & KJV combined [bold emphasis mine])

A significant number of the redeemed pray Ephesians 1:17-23 daily for wisdom and revelation which also speaks to the aspect of God’s power within:

  • LORD God, Abba Father, God of our Lord – Jesus the Christ, the Father of Glory, grant me a spirit of wisdom and revelation [of insight into mysteries and secrets] in the [deep and intimate] knowledge of You, Father. By having the eyes of my spirit flooded with light, so that I may know You better. And so that I may know and understand the hope to which You have called me, and what are the riches of Your glorious inheritance in the saints (Your set apart ones); And so that I may know and understand Your incomparably great power for us who believe, as demonstrated by Your mighty strength exerted in Christ Jesus when You raised Him up from the dead, and seated Him at Your (own) right hand in the heavenly realms, far above all principalities, and powers, and might and dominion, and every name that is named, [above every title that can be conferred], not only in this age and in this world but also in the age and the world to come. And You placed all things under the feet of Jesus our Lord, and appointed Him the universal and supreme Head of the church, which is His body, the fullness of Him that fills all in all.Ephesians 1:17-23 (NIV & AMPC combined and personalized [bold emphasis mine])

(And) the Spirit-led prayer of Ephesians 3 for being strengthened with God’s power within:

  • LORD God, Abba Father, I pray that according to the riches of Your glory, You may strengthen me with power by Your Spirit in my inner being so that Christ Jesus lives in my heart by faith. And I pray that being rooted and establish in love, I may have power together with all the saints to grasp what is the length and the breadth and the depth and the height (the full dimension) of Christ Jesus’ love, and to know this love that surpasses knowledge, that I may be filled with all the fullness of You. Now unto You Father God, Who is able to do immeasurably more than all I can ever ask or imagine, according to Your power at work in me, to You be glory in the church and in Christ Jesus, forever and ever and ever, Amen.Ephesians 3:16-21 (NIV personalized [bold emphasis mine])

Note, however, what the Apostle Paul wrote about putting on and/or using the whole armor of God in reference to prayer:

  • Praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, and watching thereunto with all perseverance and supplication for all saints,Ephesians 6:18 (KJV [bold emphasis mine]).

The Word of God reveals that prayer in the Spirit is praying in the Spirit or in Tongues. Although a significant number of Christians have been taught that praying in the Spirit ended with the Apostles, that concept is not biblically based. Of course, the LORD God who created humankind with free-will never interferes with our own free-will as to how we pray to Him. Yet, the fact that a significant number comprising the Body-of-Christ haven’t produced evidence of “greater works”, in this dispensation of time, likely corresponds to the lack of Spirit-led prayer (read Romans 8:26-27).  Hagin, K.E. (2007)1 illustrates God-given prayer as two-wheeled: praying in the Spirit and praying with our understanding (read 1 Corinthians 14:15) whereas a significant number of Christians are attempting to accelerate in the things of God using a single wheel, whilst wondering: “what’s the hold-up?” Assuredly, any withholdings re God’s promises are fraudulent because the outpouring bestowed the Lord Jesus belongs to those “in Christ” (read Revelation 5:12; Romans 8:17; 2Co 9:8,10.11; 1Pe 1:4).  Such bespeaks the importance of one’s own quality time with the LORD God via prayer as well as reading and meditating and studying God’s Word for correction and instruction (read 2 Timothy 3:16).
