To be born of the Spirit and to be filled with the Spirit are two different experiences; Yet those who thirst for the Living Water are entitled to the first as well as the second. Those redeemed and reborn and reconciled unto YHWH (with inserted vowels YAHWEH transliterated JEHOVAH commonly interpreted the LORD) through the spotless blood of YESHUA/JESUS are also gifted the fullness of God’s Spirit as evidenced by speaking in tongues. For Scripture reveals that those with a re-created or regenerated or reborn spirit may (free-will) speak to God in another language by utterance of the Holy Spirit but He doesn’t do the speaking:

  • Then, like a wildfire, the Holy Spirit spread through their ranks, and they started speaking in a number of different languages as the Spirit prompted them.Acts 2:4 (MSG [bold emphasis mine])
  • While Peter was still speaking these words, the Holy Spirit fell on all who were listening to the message. And the believers from among the circumcised [the Jews] who came with Peter were surprised and amazed, because the free gift of the Holy Spirit had been bestowed and poured out largely even on the Gentiles. For they heard them talking in [unknown] tongues (languages) and extolling and  magnifying God.Acts 10:44-46 (AMPC [bold emphasis mine])
  • And when Paul had laid hands upon them, the Holy Spirit came upon them, and they spoke with tongues and prophesied.Acts 19:6 (NKJV [bold emphasis mine])

The infilling of God’s Spirit is a promise, and the things of God or the promises of God manifest by faith which works by divine love (read Mark 11:22-25; Galatians 5:6). Absolutely no aspect of the inheritance of each son & daughter of God bestowed by His grace through Christ Jesus is withheld (read Romans 8:17; 1Pe 1:4; 2Co 9:8-11; Revelation 5:12). Yet neither is any gift of God forced upon His beloved. Howbeit, the Lord Jesus said that those who thirst may (free-will) have the living water:

  • . . . Jesus stood and shouted to the crowds, ‘If you are thirsty, come to me! If you believe in me, come and drink! For the Scriptures declare that rivers of living water will flow out from within.’ (When he said ‘living water,’ he was speaking of the Spirit, who would be given to everyone believing in him. But the Spirit had not yet been given, because Jesus had not yet entered into his glory.)John 7:37-39 (NLT)
  • . . . if anyone drinks the living water I give them, they will never be thirsty again. For when you drink the water I give you, it becomes a gushing fountain of the Holy Spirit, flooding you with endless life!John 4:14 (TPT)

All the promises of Abba Father are “yes” through the finished work of His only begotten Son – Jesus the Anointed One and His Anointing, to which we say “amen”:

  • “For as many as are the promises of God, they all find their Yes in Him [Christ]. For this reason we also utter the Amen (so be it) to God through Him [in His Person and by His agency] to the glory of God. But it is God Who confirms and makes us steadfast and establishes us [in joint fellowship] with you in Christ and has consecrated and anointed us [enduing us with the gifts of the Holy Spirit];  [He has also appropriated and acknowledged us as His by] putting His seal upon us and giving us His [Holy] Spirit in our hearts as the security deposit and guarantee [of the fulfillment of His promise].2 Corinthians 1:20-22 (AMPC)

The LORD never withholds His promises; and there’s no “secret sin”1 which causes the things or promises of God to be withheld from His sons and daughters. For the sinful nature into which all mankind is born and the sins thereof were and are obliterated by the spotless blood of Jesus from all who believe and confess Him (read Romans 10:9-13). For such is the manifested difference between the saved or set-apart ones and the un-saved or sinners:

  • I, yes I, am the One and Only, who completely erases your sins, never to be seen again. I will not remember them again. Freely I do this because of who I am!Isaiah 43:25 (TPT)
  • “There is therefore now no condemnation to those who are in Christ Jesus, who do not walk according to the flesh, but according to the Spirit. For the law of the Spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death.Romans 8:1-2 (NKJV)
