Dear Sisters and Brothers in Jesus the Christ,

11 By Your great might I am strengthened with all the endurance and perseverance necessary with joy. 12 And I thank You Abba Father, in Jesus’ Name, that You have qualified me to share in the inheritance of the saints in the Kingdom of Light. 13 For You have brought us out of the dominion of darkness into the Kingdom of Your Only Begotten Son; 14 in Whom we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins.”  Colossians 1:11-14  (KJV; NIV; NLT; AMP) personalized

Clearly my “breakthrough” looms very large (I dare say: HUGE) because the evil one and his cohorts have been trying to visit. Of course, Scripture warns us of his fiery darts which we withstand by putting on the whole armor of God. Yesterday, the evil one knocked at the door but I thank Abba Father, in Jesus’ Name that, in the midst of it, I refused to utter anything contrary to the WORD of God. By the teachings of the Holy Spirit, I’m well aware that Satan comes for the WORD, sending his cohorts (i.e., doubt, fear) to get that loathsome-party-started. I’m also aware that Satan has no authority over (actually, no business being in) the lives of those redeemed, re-created/reborn, and reconciled by the blood of Jesus unto the Family of God as sons and daughters with all rights and privileges restored. JESUS IS LORD because He defeated the enemy of God at The Cross.

Therefore, the evil one has no other option than to await our permission to cause chaos and/or wreak havoc when we speak contrary to God’s WORD (and/or do contrary to God’s way of doing). And Satan is strategic about getting others (i.e., friends, family, foe), when you least expect it, to behave toward you/I in a manner contrary to the way of God. However, those rendered God’s sons and daughters by the blood of Jesus may cancel negative speak [past or present], and bind Satan with authority in the Name above all names. As K.E. Hagin (1979) stated in The Name of Jesus (2007 Legacy Edition), we may “refuse to be dominated by any demon” (pp. 93-94). Regardless of what it looks like in the natural realm, I believe what God says about me, and I take hold with a firm grasp, the inheritance bestowed unto me by the finished work of Christ Jesus. That is, everything for which He sacrificed His sinless lifeblood so that I might (free-will) have.

Therefore, endeavoring to speak only what God says about me, even in the midst of “tantrum tears” on and off throughout yesterday, I kept meditating and muttering and uttering the WORD; “dragged” my (desiring to be guest-of-honor at my very own pity-party) self to the gym; kept speaking mo’ WORD (by this time, the peace that passeth all understanding manifests . . . that sweet peace of Jehovah Shalom); ate; watched a little TV; read Scripture; went to bed; AND WOKE UP PRAISING THE LORD! Hallelujah! It is by God’s great might; and I praise Him forevermore. (Read – Ephesians 6:10-18; Colossians 2:15; Luke 10:19; Mark 16:15-18 [NLT]; Philippians 4:7; John 14:27, 16:33; Judges 6:24.)

Speak the promise . . . Harriet
