“¹⁶ Let the word [spoken by] Christ (the Messiah) have its home [in your hearts and minds] and dwell in you in [all its] richness, as you teach and admonish and train one another in all insight and intelligence and wisdom [in spiritual things, and as you sing] psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, making melody to God with [His] grace in your hearts to the Lord.  ¹⁷ And whatever you [no matter what it is] in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus and in [dependence upon] His Person, giving praise to God the Father through Him.” Colossians 3:16-17 (AMP)

The Church is the Body of Christ of which YESHUA/JESUS is the universal and supreme Head as appointed by YHWH (with inserted vowels YAHWEH transliterated JEHOVAH commonly interpreted the LORD). That is, the Church is a whole living organism with different parts including the five ministry gifts of the Lord Jesus and the nine gifts of the Holy Spirit. Everything about the Church is alive because the Lord Jesus is alive. For in The Passion of The Christ whereof He “gave-up the ghost” (that separated Him from the Father He’d never been apart from) died and descended into Hell (that mankind might [free-will] opt not to go there), wherein He suffered further.  

Yet, when the LORD God determined that the sacrifice of His only begotten Son had fully paid the debt for the iniquity/offense/trespass/sins of all mankind, He commanded the resurrection of the Firstborn from eternal death to eternal life through the “immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing power” made manifest by the Holy Spirit. The Ascension of Christ Jesus resulted in God the Father seating Him at His (own) right Hand: “Far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and every name that is named [above every title that can be conferred], not only in this age and in this world, but also in the age and the world which are to come” Eph 1:21 (AMP).  

Still at work on behalf of all mankind, the Lord Jesus took His spotless lifeblood and applied it to the mercy seat; and still at work, the Lord Jesus went to paradise/Sheol/Abraham’s bosom to release those who awaited Him and led them to Heaven; and still at work, the Lord Jesus confirmed in the minds of His doubting disciples that He is indeed alive; and still at work, the Lord Jesus is our Advocate. Now (this day), as a result of the redemptive work of Christ Jesus once for all:  

• believers are the Church whereas make-believers go to church; a believer is the Church whereas a make-believer attends church.  

• believers trust and have faith in the Living Word whereas make-believers don’t.  

• believers are sealed with the Holy Spirit whereas make-believers aren’t.  

• a believer is discernible by their speak as well as the evidence of good fruit; a make-believer speaks contrary to the Word of God and produces bad fruit.  

• a believer’s Father is the LORD God by the blood of Jesus; a make-believer’s is the father of lies.
