I Corinthians 2:9-10a (NIV, NKJV) – “No eye has seen, no ear has heard, no mind has conceived what God has prepared for those who love Him.’ But God has revealed it to us by His Spirit.”

Revelation is by the power of the Holy Spirit (big S) Who is promised and received or given to every individual in Christ Jesus (Galatians 3:13-14; John 7:38-39; Acts 2:38 & 1:8). Those who are in Christ Jesus have a re-created or reborn or regenerated spirit (little s). However, ‘though the spirit is born anew the mind isn’t; hence the need for renewal of the mind in the WORD of God by the teachings of the Holy Spirit (Romans 12:2; Titus 3:5; John 14:26 & 16:13; Acts 1:8; Luke 12:12). That is, the Holy Spirit lives within to teach our re-created spirit. However, God does in our lives as He is invited or welcomed to do; hence it’s possible for the Spirit to remain dormant until such time as you decide (free-will) to heed His promptings.

The promptings of the Holy Spirit (as opposed to your own plans) is paramount because we are sent of God for His always good purpose. Our purpose is about God’s business: “. . . Thy kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as it is in Heaven”. Whether you have 50% of the Spirit or 100% (often referred to as fullness of the Spirit as evidenced by speaking in tongues – a special language given to Christians or Believers or disciples of Christ [1 Corinthians 14:2]), the fact remains that those in Christ Jesus have received or been given the Spirit. Those who desire fullness of the Spirit only need to ask God the Father for it, in Jesus’ name, Amen.
