Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus,

I have viewed a significant number of misconceptions about the character of GOD via social media by Christians who ask other Believers to agree with by the “Amen”. These misconceptions appear to such an extent that I often feel compelled to write a book about the characteristics of GOD yet that has been accomplished; it’s entitled The Holy Bible containing The Old Testament & The New Testament called Scripture and/or commonly referred to as the good book. To a significant number of people who are in the milk as well as the meat of the WORD, such misconceptions do nothing to strengthen faith. It is written, “12 . . . put into action God’s saving work in your lives with deep reverence . . . .  13  For God is working in you, giving you the desire to obey him and the power to do what pleases him Philippians 2:12-13 (NLT). Faith believes God, and all in Christ Jesus have been given the measure of faith (Romans 12:3) which works by love (Galatians 5:6). Therefore, misconceptions about the characteristics of God serve to facilitate something akin or tantamount to schizophrenic faith. That is, to believe that God who is Love and all powerful – El Shaddai/God Almighty (Genesis 17:1; Psalm 91:1) would have no other option than sickness and/or trials “to teach us something” are conflicting, diametrically opposite concepts. As another succinctly stated, “If it were trials & tribulations that make us strong, everybody on eart would be a spiritual giant.” 1  Romans 8:28 isn’t saying that all bad things work together for our good; it is speaking about all the (always good) things of God: the power weapons of the Body of Christ, the Name of Jesus, the sword of the Spirit which is the WORD of God, praying in the Spirit and all other types of prayer (i.e., faith, agreement, supplication, intercessory, etc.)2  Anything contrary to the will of God for our lives is of the thief who only comes to steal, kill, and destroy (John 10:10). Those of us reconciled unto the Family of God by the finished work of Christ Jesus, and endeavor towards comprehension and application of the WORD by the teachings of the Holy Spirit often refer to the grace (favor) of God and His kind of love (agape); reiterating that God is Love (1 John 4:16). Scripture contains approximately 140 references to Love; and the New Testament/Covenant between God the Father & man, ratified by the blood of Jesus stipulates the command to love one another (John 13:34 & 15:12,17). The Lord Jesus was sent by Love and walked as man in perfect obedience to the will of Love just because of love. Jesus the Anointed One and His Anointing operated amongst those who displayed such hatred toward Him. Yet, the Lord Jesus never moved off His mission statement delineated in Isaiah 61:1-2a; He only spoke and did as He saw and heard of Abba Father (John 5:19, 8:26b & 28, 8:38 [NKJV], 12:49-50, 14:10). “The truth is, anyone who believes in me will do the same works I have done, mand even greater works . . . “ John 14:12 (NLT).

Speak the promise . . . Harriet
