Dear Sisters and Brothers in Jesus the Christ,

If My people, who are called by My name will humble themselves, and pray and seek My face, and turn from their wicked ways, then I will hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin and heal their land. 2 Chronicles 7:14 (NKJV)

Although the aforementioned Scripture is of the Old Testament/Old Covenant, GOD doesn’t change (1 Samuel 15:29; Malachi 3:6; Hebrews 13:8; James 1:17). Therefore, the same applies to those reconciled unto the Family of God by the Blood; partakers of the New Testament/New Covenant by the finished work of Jesus the Anointed One and His Anointing. In other words, we are to intercede for victory. As it is written: “Without wise leadership, a nation falls; with many counselors, there is safetyProverbs 11:14 (NLT). Therefore, those made sons & daughters of God are to pray God the Father, in Jesus’ name, for all elected or appointed officials as such benefits the country, state and city as well as the people thereof. Further, it is by the ministry of authority in the Name above all names that demonic activity is bound; the Lord Jesus has commanded us to do it via the Great Commission (Mark 16:15-18; Matthew 28:16-20).

GOD can turn a thing as exemplified when the people insisted on a king. Saul was anointed as king but began to act as though he could determine His own steps which didn’t bode well; eventually he spiraled out of control in regard to the way of God. On the opposite end, a king under whom the people were held captive facilitated their return from exile (Ezra 1:1-4 & 6:1-12). We may know through revelation by the Holy Spirit of the information in the WORD that nothing is impossible for God (Luke 1:37) whose power works through those who seek Him. Therefore, if you are a son or daughter of the Sovereign Lord God Almighty by the blood of Jesus, know that you are the righteousness of God who always hears and is pleased with the prayers of the righteous (Proverbs 15:8,29); for it is the prayers of the righteous that avail much (James 5:16b). To avail speaks to strength and sound health (by God’s mighty power within); an effective force capable of producing results . . . valid.¹

God the Father is the One who calls every son & daughter out of darkness into the Kingdom of His only begotten Son that His mighty power may (free-will) work through each of us (John 6:44 & 14:6; Acts 18:27c; Colossians 1:11-14). We are to be light in every dark situation which includes interceding through prayer on behalf of our country and its leaders on every level of government (i.e., federal, state, municipal); for it is written: “I urge you, first of all to pray for all people. As you make your requests, plead for God’s mercy upon them, and give thanks. Pray this way for kings and all others who are in authority . . .1 Timothy 2:1-2 (NLT).

 Speak the promise . . . Harriet
