The beginning of Apostle Paul’s first letter to the church at Corinth, relays how non-sensical or utter foolish the message of the good news or gospel of Christ Jesus appears to those on the road of self-destruction because GOD brings to naught the wisdom of this world – its philosophers, scholars, and brilliant debaters. God’s wisdom can’t be grasped by human wisdom; it is grasped by the very power of God via the revelatory Teaching of the Spirit of God (1 Corinthians 1:18-20). “27 God deliberately chose things the world considers foolish in order to shame those who think they are wise. And he chose those who are powerless to shame those who are powerful. 28 God chose things despised by the world, things counted as nothing at all, and used them to bring to nothing what the world considers important. 29 So that no one can ever boast in the presence of God.1Co 1:27-29 (NLT). Neither is God found through the world’s wisdom; for the world’s system even has those who by profession may teach about God in conceptual terms sans trust or belief in Him. It is God who makes it possible to be in Christ Jesus; and it is the redemptive work of the Lord Jesus that makes us acceptable to God (1Co 1:30). According to John 6:44, John 14:6, 1Co 1:9 and Colossians 1:13, it is God the Father who draws to Christ Jesus and has brought us out of the kingdom of darkness and into the Kingdom of His only begotten Son. Those “in Him” are partakers of the covenant between God and man (i.e., male, female) whereof God has fulfilled His part by the finished work of Christ Jesus, and whereas our part is belief (faith) in what God says via His Word and doing it (obedience). That is, comprehension and application of God’s Word by faith not by sight. For the world’s wisdom deems it foolish to believe what can’t be seen in the natural realm. God’s wisdom, however, brings revelation by the power of the Holy Spirit, who is sealed with every believer, that what exist in the natural realm came forth from the spirit realm. Therefore, those in covenant with God are expected to call things that be not as though they were; and because the Lord Jesus paid it all, faith operated by divine love (void of doubt & hate) brings the power of God on the scene for the manifestation(s) thereof.
