Dear Sisters and Brothers in Jesus the Christ,

“. . . Don’t lazily slip back into those old grooves of evil, doing just what you feel like doing. You didn’t know any better than what you do now. As obedient children, let yourselves be pulled into a way of life shaped by God’s life, a life energetic and blazing with holiness. God said, ‘I am holy; you be holy.”  1 Peter 1:13-16 (MSG)

“YHWH (with inserted vowels YAHWEH, transliterated JEHOVAH, commonly interpreted the LORD)” gave the Prophet Ezekiel the assignment of watchman which included: warning the wicked as well as the backslider (the righteous who turn back from living righteously) to turn away from sin. Further, that Ezekiel would be held responsible for their deaths if he did not “sound the alarm” via warning. However, the Prophet Ezekiel would not be held accountable if they heard the warnings yet refused to change their wicked and/or un-righteous ways (Ezekiel 3:17-21). Of course, that was before the earthly birth, ministry, death and resurrection of YESHUA/JESUS on behalf of all mankind.

The LORD God created humankind with free-will and He stays true to His Word which  never returns without accomplishing whatsoever it has been spoken to do (Isaiah 55:11). Yet, God will advise and advise and advise despite man’s proven stiff-neck ways, even unto the sending of His only begotten Son that we might (free-will) become familiar via the Lord Jesus’ example, how we were created to live with power and love and a sound mind (1 Timothy 1:7). Perhaps needless to say, it’s the devil and his cohorts that relentlessly move to manipulate both the un-repentant as well as the saved (who have a re-created or regenerated spirit). It may be that the blood of Jesus fixed it such that now we are only responsible for our own free-will decisions.

Nevertheless, those reconciled unto the Family of God by the redemptive work of Christ Jesus, the children or sons & daughters or people of GOD, are indeed responsible for reflecting light and faith and love on a daily basis. Therefore, when the devil whispers: “you’re not feelin’ it right now” be very quick to remind oneself that the finished work of Christ Jesus put the devil and all of his cohorts underneath our feet; then laugh. The devil doesn’t know a fake laugh from a real laugh; it’s the anointing which is the power of God in the person of the Holy Spirit who resides within us that’ll turn what may be a momentary fake laugh into pure joy. For Scripture reveals that Abba Father put all things under the feet of Christ Jesus; and those “in Him” comprise His Body; hence so too under ours (Ephesians 1:19-23 [AMP]). Hallelujah!

 Speak the promise . . . Harriet
