The Lord Jesus said, “I assure you, most solemnly I tell you, he who receives and welcomes and takes into his heart any messenger of Mine receives Me [in just that way]; and he who receives and welcomes and takes Me into his heart receives Him Who sent Me [in that same way].” John 13:20 (AMP)

Even in the face of knowing in advance about the permanent betrayal of one disciple – Judas Iscariot and the temporary denial of another – Simon Peter (John 13:13-38), Jesus the Anointed One and His Anointing served as the Son of Man to bring glory to His Father Who in turn glorified Him. That we might (free-will) be reconciled unto His Father as sons & daughters by His spotless blood which redeemed mankind from the three-fold curse (i.e., poverty, sickness, [spiritual] death) resulting in His Father becoming our Father. This was and is the selfless or unconditional love of the only begotten Son of LOVE who is GOD, He is The Mediator Who still serves as Intercessor and Advocate (1 Timothy 2:5 [KJV]; 1 John 4:8, 16 & 2:1 [KJV]; Romans 8:34b [NIV]; Hebrews 7:25 [NIV]).
