“For the wages of sin is death but the gift of God is eternal life through Christ Jesus, our Lord.” Romans 6:23

YHWH (with inserted vowels YAHWEH transliterated JEHOVAH commonly interpreted the LORD) never interferes with the free-will of those created in His image. Romans 6:23 relays the fact that there are wages from the fallen angel – Lucifer/Satan/the devil, who never allows for a choice (not even between his way or the highway). For when a person may not want to do the devil’s bidding, he simply puts pressure which Scripture refers to as “fiery darts”, temptation, etcetera. BUT those who receive The Gift of the LORD God – The Gift sent of the LORD God as the Son of Man Whose Name is YESHUA/JESUS, those rendered sons & daughters of the LORD by the spotless blood of Jesus are equipped with a covering; and as succinctly described by a man-of-God, this covering is like unto an open umbrella. Therefore, though the malevolence, malfeasance, and maladies may be like unto rain all around us, sons & daughters of GOD are covered as we operate by the God-kind of faith powered by the God-kind of love to manifest the promises of God by His power within each and every one of us. The Word of God relays that those of the Family of God are to “be strong in the LORD and in the power of His might” (Ephesians 6:10); we are enabled to do by God’s power within. For the Holy Spirit resides in each and every person “in Christ”; the promised Spirit sent to comfort and counsel and teach each re-created or reborn spirit. However, use of free-will may allow dormancy of God’s Spirit within and the power inherit thereof. For the redemptive work of Christ Jesus redeemed – legally bought & brought all mankind out (from under) the three-fold curse of poverty, sickness, and eternal death. God is Love Who has no poverty, sickness, or death to distribute. By relationship with Abba Father through Christ Jesus, information in His WORD by the teaching of the Holy Spirit is of the utmost importance because learning about the character and the way of God the Father, and His will for the lives of His Family on this side of Heaven empowers to establish God’s covenant on earth. The thief only comes to steal, kill, and destroy; don’t expect any refunds from the thief. Faith takes!
