“Confession is the cornerstone of faith.”

The seed of YHWH (with inserted vowels YAHWEH transliterated JEHOVAH commonly interpreted the LORD) came for the benefit of all humankind. The LORD God sent YESHUA/JESUS – the last Adam (1Co 15:45) – the pattern human to:

  • show humankind how we were created to operate with dominion over all the earth. Jesus the Anointed One and His Anointing nullified every work of the devil.
    • Luke 7:22. . . The blind receive sight, the lame walk, those who have leprosy are cured, the deaf hear, the dead are raised, and the Good News is preached to the poor.
    • Matthew 8:16-17When evening came, many who were demon possessed were brought to Him, and He drove out the spirits with a word and healed all the sick. This was to fulfill what was spoken through the Prophet Isaiah: ‘He took up our infirmities and carried our diseases.’
  • seed Himself for the harvest of more sons & daughters of the LORD God through our re-alignment with God requiring the redemptive work of Christ Jesus which allows for a reborn or re-created or re-generated spirit.
    • Galatians 3:26 (KJV)For ye are all the children of God by faith in Christ Jesus. . . . There is neither Jew nor Greek, there is neither bond nor free, there is neither male nor female: for ye are all one in Christ Jesus.
    • 2 Corinthians 5:21 (AMPC)For our sake He made Christ [virtually] to be sin Who knew no sin, so that in and through Him we might become [endued with, viewed as being in, and examples of] the righteousness of God [what we ought to be, approved and acceptable and in right relationship with Him, by His goodness].

It is by the spotless, sinless blood of Jesus that those who believe (faith) and confess Him (Romans 10:9-10) receive salvation.

  • It’s news I’m most proud to proclaim, this extraordinary Message of God’s powerful plan to rescue everyone who trusts him, starting with Jews and then right on to everyone else! God’s way of putting people right shows up in acts of faith, confirming what Scripture has said all along: ‘The person in right standing before God by trusting him really lives.’”  Romans 1:16-17 (MSG)

  • For we walk by faith, not by sight.2 Corinthians 5:7 (NJKV)

The Lord Jesus had to have faith as depicted through His prayer in the Garden for His disciples and for us (John 17); and for His own anguish evidenced by the sweat that fell as droplets of blood (Luke 22:42-44). Yet, such didn’t pertain to fear of physical death which is the separation of the spirit and soul (i.e., intellect, will, emotions) from the body. Rather, it pertained to spiritual death which is separation from the LORD God. For the Lord Jesus had never been separated from the Father. Nevertheless, the Lord Jesus set His face like flint on behalf of all humankind just because He so loved/loves us with that same God-kind of love. Therefore, the Lord Jesus had to have faith that the LORD God would indeed raise Him up – the firstborn or first begotten of the dead (Revelation 1:5-6). On behalf of all humankind, Jesus the Anointed One and His Anointing walked in perfect obedience to the will of the Father because He only did and spoke as He heard of the Father (John 5:19 & 8:26b,28,38b & 12:49-50 & 14:10,24b). We too may develop the measure of faith (Romans 12:3) bestowed at the onset of salvation to all “in Christ” by saying what God says. To confess or confession is “to speak the same thing, to agree with; to declare openly by way of speaking . . .”1  In other words, “God said so! Therefore, I say so.”  A few of my own daily confessions include:

  • Confession (based on 1Co 2:16; John 15:15; Isaiah 40:13-14; 2Co 5:17) – “I have the mind of Christ and the wisdom of God is being formed within me.”
  • Confession (based on Hebrews 10:35 & 11:6; Luke 11:2) – “My faith is fearless confidence that manifest great recompense of reward from God the Father by the finished work of Christ Jesus my Lord, in the power of the Holy Spirit my Comforter, Counselor, Teacher and Sword, to establish God’s Covenant on earth as it is in Heaven.”
  • Confession (based on Philippians 4:19) – “My God supplies all my needs according to His glorious riches in Christ Jesus.”
  • Confession (based on Revelation 5:12) – “In the Name of Jesus I decree this day that I am come into the inheritance which the LORD has given me by Christ Jesus (for I am “in Him”): ‘power, and riches, and wisdom, and strength, and honor, and glory, and blessing.’
