Faith basks in the glory of the LORD. Joshua was always, soaking-in the residual effects of the glory of the LORD from Moses’ one-to-one or personal interactions with God. While Moses was on the mountain receiving the commands of the LORD written by the finger of GOD, Joshua was also on the mountain waiting for Moses to descend (Exodus 31:18 & 32:15-17). And as “7 It was Moses’ custom to set up the tent known as the Tent of Meeting far outside the camp. . . . 11 Inside the Tent of Meeting, the LORD would speak to Moses face to face, as a man speaks to his friend. Afterward Moses would return to the camp, but the young man who assisted him, Joshua son of Nun, stayed behind in the Tent of Meeting” Exodus 33:7-11 (NLT).

Faith is the opposite of fear. When the LORD commanded Moses to send twelve out to scout the land promised, and although the scouts found the land to be just as God said, ten of the scouts gave a bad report. More specifically, ten gave a fear-filled report that thoroughly discouraged the people. Only two of the twelve scouts remained steadfast on God’s Word and attempted to encourage the people. “Then Caleb quieted the people before Moses, and said, ‘Let us go up at once and take possession, for we are well able to overcome it” Numbers 13:30 (NKJV). Caleb exemplified faith that GOD is able. Nevertheless, the influence of the majority resulted in only two of that entire age group, namely Caleb & Joshua, entering into the promised land because they believed God; that regardless of the size of the enemy, the inhabitants would be defeated (Numbers 14:20-24).

Faith is confidence that it is true unto whosoever according to the Word of God. “37 For with God nothing shall be impossible. 38 And Mary said, ‘Behold the handmaid of the Lord; be it unto me according to thy word. And the angel departed from her” Luke 1:37-38 (KJV). “42 Elizabeth gave a glad cry and exclaimed to Mary, . . . 45 You are blessed, because you believed that the Lord would do what he said” Luke 1:42-45 (NLT).

Faith places a demand on the invisible. The finished work of Christ Jesus has bestowed Believers with a better covenant between God and man (i.e., male, female) ratified by the blood of Jesus. Therefore, we endeavor to refrain speaking unbelief regardless of what it looks like in the natural realm. Faith places a demand as we speak in the way of the Sovereign Lord God Almighty, speaking things as though they were (Genesis 1; Romans 4:16-17), while simultaneously exercising the Ministry of Authority, in the Name above all names, to the honor and praise and glory to God the Father.
