The LORD is always speaking to each of us individually for the benefit of the collective that is the Body of Christ which is the church. Therefore, we endeavor to know the essence of Love Who is God so that we may be familiar with His voice. Those made sons and daughters of God by the blood of Jesus may become familiar with the characteristics, persona or essence of God through the WORD by revelation of the information therein by the teachings of the Spirit of Truth Who is God the Holy Spirit. Scripture tells us that all who read and/or hear the WORD of God don’t necessarily receive or have clarity thereof; these are they who have eyes that do not see and ears that do not hear. As the Prophet Ezekiel received of the LORD, “Son of man, you live among rebels who could see the truth if they wanted to, but they don’t want to. They could hear me if they would listen, but they won’t listen because they are rebellious.” Ezekiel 12:2 (NLT).
In speaking of the blind who were now able to see and the deaf who were now able to hear, the Lord Jesus was speaking about far more than His healing ministry. During Christ Jesus’ earthly walk, a significant number of people (especially in His hometown) took offense at Him; neither are ambassadors of Christ immune to such. Comprehension AND application of the WORD of God is neither popular nor does it bring forth popularity because the Way of Abba Father is not in keeping with the way of the world. However, by the favor of God upon us, the faithfulness of God shielding us, the angels of God that war for us, and the peace of God within us, we move boldly forward in the defense and confirmation of the gospel of Christ (which is the gospel of the Kingdom of God) with clarity and gentleness; to the praise and glory of God. The Living Word – JESUS said, “God blesses those who are not offended by me” Matthew 11:6 (NLT). Blessed is s/he who trusts in the LORD.
(see Matthew 11:5; Luke 4:14-30; John 14:27 & 16:33; Colossians 3:15; Proverbs 19:23; Psalm 91:1-16; Matthew 13:1-58; Acts 1:8; 2Co 4:1-2; Philippians 1:7b; Proverbs 16:20; Jeremiah 17:7-8).
