Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus,

18 I saw Satan fall like lightning from heaven. 19 I have given you authority to trample on snakes and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy . . .Luke 10:18-19 (NIV)

And these signs will accompany those who believe: In my name they will drive out demons . . .”  Mark 16:17 (NIV)

This Scripture relays the sacred Ministry-of-Authority given unto each reconciled unto the Family of God by the blood of Jesus. Neither was Luke 10:19 limited to the seventy nor does Mark 16:17 pertain only to the original twelve apostles. Notice, however, that the responsibility for doing or taking action is on us. The only thing that stops the power of the Sovereign Lord God Almighty from right now effectiveness on one’s own behalf is one’s own unbelief. Faith expresses belief that every (always positive thing) Abba Father relays in His Word is true unto each redeemed, re-created and reconciled by the Blood with all rights and privileges as sons & daughters of the Most High God restored through the finished work of Christ Jesus. For all “in Him” have been given the measure of faith as well as its power source – divine love/agape (Romans 12:3; Galatians 5:6). As it is written, everyone who has received “like precious faith” through Christ Jesus have also been given all things that pertain to life and godliness through Him (2Pe 1:1-3). Such includes God’s power by the indwelling of the Holy Spirit  (Galatians 3:14; Acts 1:8; Ephesians 1:19 & 3:20). Our ever faithful and compassionate Abba Father, Who didn’t withhold His only begotten Son, neither withholds any good thing from those who seek Him (Matthew 6:33; Hebrews 11:6).

The (always negative things) of the thief (John 10:10a) come against those created in the image of God to dissuade the elect from believing that God’s will for their life is all good all the time. However, the fiery darts of the thief have no real power in the life of the redeemed unless allowed by them (whether wittingly or unwittingly) because the thief has no power to stop God. Lucifer is a fallen angel that was thrown down along with his cohorts (Luke 10:18; Revelation 9:1). However, the relentless thief showed-up in The Garden of Eden to deceive one (Genesis 3:1-6) though the other utilized free-will in acting contrary to the will of God (Genesis 2:16-17). Ah, but God’s Word can’t return void (Isaiah 55:11 & 45:23). Hence, all “in Him” are being returned to the fullness of God’s glory by the Blood. Yet, comprehension of the established Truth requires (continual or ongoing) renewal of the mind in the Word of God by the Teaching of the Holy Spirit for its application. The WORD became flesh and dwelt among us (John 1:14), to show us how we were created to operate or speak and act in the way of Abba Father (John 5:19 & 8:26b,28,38 & 12:49-50 & 14:10). Now (this day), whether those “in Him” are of the original branch or grafted in (Romans 11:11-17) we are to imitate the Vine (John 15:5) to the honor, praise and glory of Abba Father, with thanksgiving in Jesus’ name.

Speak the promise . . . Harriet
