Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus,

. . . I write you these things so that you may not violate God’s law and sin. But if anyone should sin, we have an Advocate (One Who will intercede for us) with the Father—[it is] Jesus Christ [the all] righteous [upright, just, Who conforms to the Father’s will in every purpose, thought, and action].  2 And He [that same Jesus Himself] is the propitiation (the atoning sacrifice) for our sins, and not for ours alone but for [the sins of] the whole world.  3 Now by this we know that we know Him, if we keep His commandments. 4 He who says, ‘I know Him,’ and does not keep His commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.  5 But whoever keeps His word, truly the love of God is perfected in him. By this we know that we are in Him.  6 He who says he abides in Him ought himself also to walk just as He walked. 1 John 2:1-2 (AMP) & 1 John 2:3-6 (NKJV)

GOD sent His only begotten Son who walked in perfect obedience to the will of the Father to redeem and re-create which reconciles unto the Family of God with every right and privilege restored as heirs of GOD and co-heirs with Christ Jesus (Romans 8:17). Those whom God the Father has rescued from the dominion of darkness (Colossians 1:13) are called to establish His covenant in the earth. That is to say, wherever God the Father sends us and/or has already sent us, we are there to speak and do just like the Lord Jesus, Who only did and spoke in the way of God the Father (John 5:19 & 8:26b,28,38 & 12:49-50 & 14:10). We are neither called to team-up with the accuser (Revelation 12:10) nor seek revenge because vengeance and recompense is of God: “For we know Him that hath said, ‘Vengeance belongeth unto Me, I will recompense’, saith the LORDHeb 10:30 (KJV). And “To Me belongeth vengeance, and recompenseDt 32:35 (KJV). However, such doesn’t negate the ability to recognize the type of fruit that a person bears; whether such be good fruit or not. Adherence to the Teaching of the Holy Spirit gives evidence of that which we ought to and/or are called to produce – good fruit: “love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-controlGalatians 5:22-23 (NLT). Nevertheless, the ability to recognize the bad fruit of others neither requires judging thereof nor yoking oneself to it (2Co 6:14). What we are called to do is pray. The Living Word tells us to: “always pray and not give upLuke 18:1 (NIV); even pray for our enemies (Matthew 5:44); and with all types or kinds of prayers (Ephesians 6:18).

Though we need not become “legalistic or clinical” about which prayer to use and for whom, two of the many kinds of prayers include:

  • Prayers of intercession – for the lost or unsaved or unbelievers; that they might recover themselves out of the snare of the devil.
  • Prayers of supplication – for God’s people; those reconciled unto Him by the blood of Jesus.

1 Timothy 2:1-2 tells us that supplication may also be made for those in authority, whether or not those in leadership positions are unsaved or unbelievers; that they may have wisdom for stability and for decisions in keeping with the way of God. In other words, we are asking God to help them which in-turn helps those of us who are under their leadership. Prayer is communicating with God directly for others as well as for ourselves. Though a godly (righteous) individual, Daniel repented for his nation (Daniel 9:2,3,17,18). Nothing is impossible for the Sovereign Lord God Almighty, we only need ask and He will do it. Therefore, as we bind this devil wrought pandemic and the fear thereof, with authority in the Name above all names, may we also “repent on behalf of all nations that have turned their backs and their ways against the LORD GOD”. The Lord Jesus fixed it so we are entitled to everything that God’s grace sent Him that we might (free-will) have. The Living Word said, the Father desires us to have it (Luke 12:32). Yet to have includes an ability to make use of that which God has bestowed which necessarily involves possessing it. To possess whatsoever God has given (past tense) also requires its acceptance. Yet awareness necessarily precedes acceptance which is why we read, study, meditate, and mutter God’s Word.
