Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus,

praying always with all prayer and supplication in the Spirit, being watchful to this end with all perseverance and supplication for all the saints—” Ephesians 6:18 (NKJV)

And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this is mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the saints. Ephesians 6:18 (NIV)

Pray at all times and on every occasion in the power of the Holy Spirit. Stay alert and be persistent in your prayers for all Christians everywhere.”  Ephesians 6:18 (NLT)

Prayer is asking the LORD God. Prayer is communication with God. Prayer invites God to work on our behalf. For the LORD God comes by invitation, and He so desires that we invite Him into our lives. The Word of God reveals that there are different types of prayers. As summarized by Kenneth E. Hagin (1992) these include: The Prayer of Faith; The Prayer of Consecration; The Prayer of Commitment; The Prayer of Worship; The Prayer of Agreement; Prayer in the Spirit; United Prayer; The Prayer of Supplication; and Intercessory Prayer.1  However, the important thing, is to pray with confidence. To pray with confidence necessarily involves revelation of the information in the Word of God by the Teaching of the Holy Spirit that results in comprehension and application. For to read, study, meditate, mutter, and confess God’s Word facilitates access to the Scriptural promises of God. The Lord Jesus came and paid the full price with His spotless blood that those “in Him” may have abundant life (John 10:10b).

Thereby is the confidence we may have in approaching Abba Father because when we pray God’s Word back to Him – the Scriptural promises, we may know that God hears us; and if we know that God hears whatever we ask in keeping with His will, we know that we have whatsoever we’ve asked of Him (1 John 5:14-15). For it is true unto us according to 1 Peter 1:4 by the blood of Jesus. Faith says: “I believe I receive” because we’ve been given The Blessing of Abraham and the fullness thereof by the redemptive work of Christ Jesus. Therefore, faith takes or withdraws from our heavenly account, from the spirit realm for manifestation in the natural realm, that which He who is Omniscient, Omnipresent, and Omnipotent knew we would have need of . . . yes, the LORD God knows each of us better than we know ourselves. The Living Word tells us that it gives Abba Father great happiness to give each of His children – His sons & daughters – His people by the Blood, the kingdom (Luke 12:32) . . . yes, The Blessing is for use on this side of Heaven. That is, for those who have belief in God and believe God.

Jesus the Anointed One and His Anointing was sent for our redemption as well as to exemplify how we were created to operate with dominion (Genesis 1:26-28). The more we read, study, meditate, mutter, and confess the Word of God is the more growth that facilitates the ability to enjoy the fullness of The Blessing for self and others, neighborhood and workplace, country and world. Therefore, immersion in God’s Word enables a plethora of things including but not limited to:

  • developing “the measure of faith” bestowed at the onset of a re-created or regenerated or reborn spirit. (Romans 12:3)
  • perfecting the “God-kind of love” poured into the hearts of the re-created or regenerated or reborn spirit. (Romans 5:5)
  • renewing of the soul (i.e., intellect, will, emotions) in God’s Word (Romans 12:2)

Although we don’t pray/ask God the Father to do that which the Lord Jesus bestowed the authority upon us re casting and binding the works of the devil (Matthew 28:18; Luke 10:19; Mark 28:17-18; Matthew 18:18), we may pray/ask Abba Father to bring judgment re penalty for each and every attack of the adversary. For both vengeance and recompense re every malfeasance and malady and malevolent perpetrated by the devil against those reconciled unto the Family of God by the blood of Jesus belongs to the LORD God (Deuteronomy  32:35; Psalm 94:1; Romans 12:19; Hebrews 10:30). All honor and glory and praise to God the Father, with thanksgiving in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

Speak the promise . . . Harriet
