A significant number of Proverbs reflects the fact that evil begets evil. GOD is LOVE, and He sent the only begotten Son of LOVE – YESHUA/JESUS – the last Adam – the Living Word to destroy the works of the devil. For malfeasance and every malady and all malevolence are of the adversary – the enemy – the thief. The Living Word relays the fact that, “The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows)John 10:10 (AMP). In reaction to the most recent evil manipulated by Satan, some (perhaps innocently) have reiterated a sentence with a strikethrough the words “thoughts & prayers” replacing it with the words “policy & change”. However, only one would promote a strikethrough the word prayer because prayer is the manner by which humankind communicates with God. Prayer keeps humankind connected to the thoughts of God.

Prayer is how those to whom the LORD God initially gave dominion over the earth (before the first Adam turned it over to the devil) allows the power of God to work on behalf of humankind. That evil begets evil is due to the fact that those thoughts are whispers from the one that the first Adam’s treason made the prince or god of this world. However, those reconciled unto the Family of God by the blood of Jesus were rescued from the dominion of darkness, and brought into God’s Kingdom of Light to think and speak and do in the way of God; sons & daughters of God by the finished work of Christ Jesus are royalty called for such a time as this. Therefore, the redeemed who have a re-created spirit, endeavor to keep our thoughts in the way of God through the ongoing renewal of the soul (i.e., intellect, will, emotions) in the Word of God. That we may BE producers of the good fruit. For the life of the Lord Jesus was light unto the whole world, and those “in Him” are that light. Glory to God!
