“Suddenly, the angel was joined by a vast host of others—the armies of heaven—praising God: ‘Glory to God in the highest heaven, and peace on earth to all whom God favors.” Luke 2:13-14 (NLT)

Confession or affirmation helps to develop “the measure of faith” received at the onset of the rebirth by the blood of Jesus. For example, upon awakening, my confession of  Luke 2:14 is:  

Confession: Glory to God in the highest; and on earth peace, goodwill, to those on whom God’s favor rest, and the favor of GOD rests on me by the redemptive work of Christ Jesus.  

Luke, who Study Bible(s) delineate was a doctor, Greek, Gentile Christian as well as the only known Gentile author, and a close friend of Apostle Paul’s illustrates the birth announcement of YESHUA/JESUS gloriously; the somewhat breathtaking glorious moment experienced by the Shepherds, 33 years before the death and burial and resurrection and Ascension of the Lord Jesus. A significant number of New Testament writers usually referred to Him as Jesus Christ but the Epistles or Letters of Apostle Paul often called Him Christ Jesus because (as another author relays) He was The Christ upon the full completion of His redemptive work. That is, the sacrifice of His spotless lifeblood and descent into hell whereby “the WORD made flesh” informed us that He has taken back and holds “the keys of death and Hades”; and upon the full completion of His redemptive work on behalf of all mankind in perfect obedience to the will of His Father – YHWH (with inserted vowels YAHWEH transliterated JEHOVAH commonly interpreted the LORD) commanded: “Get Him Up!”  The keys that the Lord Jesus holds pertain to the authority bestowed unto Him by God the Father; and Christ Jesus has given this very same authority to each person “in Him”. This is the hope that Abba Father has called those of us “in Christ” as relayed by Paul in Ephesians 1:17-23:  

“19 . . . the immeasurable and unlimited and surpassing greatness of His power in and for us who believe, as demonstrated in the working of His mighty strength,   20 Which He exerted in Christ when He raised Him from the dead and seated Him at His [own] right hand in the heavenly [places],  21 Far above all rule and authority and power and dominion and every name that is named [above every title that can be conferred], not only in this age and in this world, but also in the age and the world which are to come.   22 And He has put all things under His feet and has appointed Him the universal and supreme Head of the church [a headship exercised throughout the church], [Ps. 8:6.].  23 Which is His body, the fullness of Him Who fills all in all . . . .”  The Amplified Bible (AMP).  

A significant number who are partakers of the New Covenant ratified by the blood of Jesus appear to be aware of the indwelling of the Holy Spirit and The Blessing of Abraham received thereof. However, the plethora of promises bought and brought by the redemptive work of Christ Jesus include The Blessing of Abraham (material) and the fullness thereof (spiritual) by the redemptive work of Christ Jesus. Therefore, those rendered sons & daughters of the LORD God by the Blood, are expected to bind on earth what is bound in heaven and loose on earth what is loosed in heaven with authority in the Name above all names; To the praise and glory of God the Father, with thanksgiving in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
