Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.Hebrews 11:1 (KJV)

So faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.Romans 10:17 (WEB)

It’s impossible to please God apart from faith. And why? Because anyone who wants to approach God must believe both that he exists and that he cares enough to respond to those who seek him.Hebrews 11:6 (MSG)

Abraham is referred to as the “father of faith” because he believed YHWH (with inserted vowels YAHWEH transliterated JEHOVAH commonly interpreted the LORD). That is, Abraham stepped out by faith; he believed the LORD God and acted accordingly.

  • Faith is action oriented and works by the God-kind of love.
    • Embrace this God-life. Really embrace it, and nothing will be too much for you. This mountain, for instance: Just say, ‘Go jump in the lake’—no shuffling or shilly-shallying—and it’s as good as done. That’s why I urge you to pray for absolutely everything, ranging from small to large. Include everything as you embrace this God-life, and you’ll get God’s everything. And when you assume the posture of prayer, remember that it’s not all asking. If you have anything against someone forgive— . . .” Mark 11:22-25 (MSG)
  • Faith “sees” things by discernment that others can’t
    • . . . And when the servant of the man of God arose early and went out, there was an army, surrounding the city with horses and chariots. And his servant said to him, ‘Alas, my master! What shall we do?’ So he answered, ‘Do not fear, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.’ And Elisha prayed, and said, ‘LORD, I pray, open his eyes that he may see.’ Then the LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw. And behold, the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.2 Kings 6:15-17 (NKJV)
  • Faith doesn’t say what it looks like.
    • For we walk by faith [we regulate our lives and conduct ourselves by our conviction or belief respecting man’s relationship to God and divine things, with trust and holy fervor; thus we walk] not by sight or appearance.2 Corinthians 5:7 (AMP)
    • Teach me, and I will hold my tongue; Cause me to understand where I have erred.Job 6:24 (NKJV)
  • Faith gives voice to the Word of God.
    • For my thoughts are not your thoughts, and my ways are not your ways’ says Yahweh. For as the heavens are higher than the earth, so are my ways higher than your ways, and my thoughts than your thoughts. For as the rain comes down and the snow from the sky, and doesn’t return there, but waters the earth, and makes it grown and bud, and gives seed to the sower and bread to the eater; so is my word that goes forth from my mouth: it will not return to me void, but it will accomplish that which I please, and it will prosper in the thing I sent it to do.Isaiah 55:8-11 (WEB)

During the Lord Jesus earth-bound Ministry, His Teaching focused on the Kingdom of God and the pre-ordained, predestined, or initial assignment of mankind to establish it on earth as it is heaven. YESHUA/JESUS said that the Word of God is like seed that is to be sown into the fertile soil of the spirit. Such involves reading and studying and meditating which also facilitates ongoing renewal of the soul (i.e., intellect, will, emotions). That is, transformation by revelation of the information in God’s Word through the Teaching of the Holy Spirit for discernment as well as whatsoever is needful in keeping with God’s will for His sons & daughters. (Matthew 6:10; Luke 8:11-15; Romans 12:2; John 14:26; Ephesians 5:1; 1Jn 5:14-15).
