Dear Sisters and Brothers in Jesus the Christ,

Often, during prayer to God the Father, I’m tempted to sing: “It’s me, it’s me, it’s me Oh Lord, standing in the need of prayer . . . Not my brother, not my sister but it’s me, Oh Lord . . . Not my father, not my mother but it’s me, Oh Lord . . .”. Such is subterfuge of the thief who only comes to steal and kill and destroy (John 10:10a) whispering: “you don’t even like a significant number of people, so what gives you the right to pray for them? . . . you don’t like the President, so isn’t it hypocritical to pray for that office? . . . aren’t your stern responses to unwarranted and/or unsolicited negativity toward you a little too quick to really be a daughter of the Most High God?” Those may be facts but the Truth is what ELOHIM has said.

The Truth is, those rendered sons and daughters of YAHWEH through the redemptive work of Christ Jesus’ 1st Coming, are in the world but not of the world; for we are citizens of God’s Kingdom of Light. The truth is, Abba Father draws whosoever to Himself through Christ Jesus (John 6:44; John 14:6; 1Co 1:9): “out of the control and dominion of darkness and has transferred us into the kingdom of the Son of His love” Colossians 1:13 (AMP). The Truth is, we are reconciled unto ADONAI by the blood of Jesus; marked (easily recognized by the devil and his cohorts) as partakers of the New Covenant, ratified by the Blood, between JEHOVAH and mankind. Even “the lost” recognize when a child of God neither belongs in a certain place asking in a somewhat surprised tone, “what are you doing here?”. For the light shines in darkness (Matthew 5:14-15). Nevertheless, though our spirit was re-created or reborn in an instant (Titus 3:5), both the physical body and soul (i.e., intellect, will, and emotions) remain the same.

Renewal of the mind is ongoing by the Word of God, and beyond a simple read (no matter how many times); it is via revelation of the information in God’s Word by the Teaching of the Holy Spirit with Whom we are sealed (Romans 12:2; John 14:26 & 16:13; Ephesians 4:30).“Little children, you are of God [you belong to Him] and have [already] defeated and overcome them [the agents of the antichrist], because He Who lives in you is greater (mightier) than he who is in the world” 1 John 4:4 (AMP). Therefore, despite the facts, Truth is what God says which the Spirit of Truth reminds amidst whispers from the father of lies (John 8:44). Therefore, we neither debate with the devil nor his cohorts. Rather, we simply affirm the WORD:

  • I’m the righteousness of God in Christ Jesus. (2 Corinthians 5:21; Romans 3:22)
  • I’m anxious for nothing because by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, I make my requests known to God. (Philippians 4:6)
  • My prayers of intercession and supplication are for everyone, including all in leadership positions. (1 Timothy 2:1-2)
  • The LORD perfects that which concerns me. (Psalm 138:8a)
  • I’m convinced and sure that He who began a good work in me will continue until the day of Christ Jesus’ return. Developing and perfecting and bringing it to full completion in me. (Philippians 1:6)
