Dear Sisters and Brothers in Jesus the Christ,

Believers will have authority and power in the future (read Revelations 2:26-27); and they have authority and power even now, in the present. Here’s the thing: a significant number of Believers are clueless or unaware of the power they have, and the evil one prefers it that way. Why? It is because Believers who get a clue as to their right standing bind and loose in the Name above all names. Glory to God!

Walking in the Way of Abba Father is not a skip and a jump because of the carnality of the flesh. Nevertheless, the Saints of today have it easier than the Saints of old. Why? It is because Believers have the Living Word, the written Word, and the Spirit of Truth. The Saints of old prayed for the first coming of The Messiah – Christ Jesus; the Holy Spirit was upon some and visited others, and the written Word was reserved for the scholars and the elite. However, the Saints of today have Christ through Whom is redemption, reconciliation, restoration, regeneration (a recreated human spirit which is automatic), and renewal of the mind (which is not automatic). Today, the written Word is within reach via home, church, public library, or the internet. Moreover, Believers have received the gift of the Holy Spirit Who lives within (read Romans 8:1-15). Praise the Lord Jesus!

Yet, a significant number of Believers either “sit-on” the power bestowed by the grace of God through Christ Jesus; and others attempt to engage the power via religiosity or works (read Romans 4:1-8; Ephesians 2:4-9).  Anderson (2000) wrote, “Walking by the Spirit is relationship, not regimentation” (p. 99).

The sons and daughters of the Most High God, Creator of Heaven and earth will speak to Nations. Indeed Believers speak even now. How? It is through the light that Abba Father has made to shine in our hearts (read 2 Corinthians 4:6). Christ Jesus is our light (read Luke 2:32), and Believers are to be a light. Believers are Ambassadors of Christ; vessels of Abba Father (read 2Co 5:20; Ephesians 6:20). Not with pomp or arrogance but with wisdom and understanding; not with malice but with peace; not with haughtiness but with concern; not with anger but with love. As stated by Anderson (2000), Saints “are not called to dispel darkness; we are called to turn on the light” (p. 162). Believers are not called to clean the fish but to catch the fish and love the fish. “God is fully capable of cleaning His own fish” (p. 197). Believers are to teach the Way of God to their children. In order to teach, however, one must know. In order to know, one must seed God’s Word in the heart (read Deuteronomy 4:9; 5:33). Seek His face to have His hand (read Luke 12:31; Deuteronomy 4:29-31). Ask Abba Father for wisdom and revelation; fullness of the Holy Spirit; and the strength to do His Will so that you may brick the Kingdom of God wherever you are (i.e., home, work, place of worship).

Speak the promise . . . Harriet
