Dear Sisters and Brothers in Jesus the Christ,

“We are soldiers, in the army. We have to fight, although we have to cry.
We have to hold up the Blood stained banner. We have to hold it up until we die.”

Believers are the army of God in Christ Jesus, and the death knoll proclaims liberty from sin, wrath, and transgression. These are they who have moved beyond the threshold of being saved; into the power of the Holy Spirit within. Of course, Believers can be wishy-washy: liking power when it suits ‘em; deciding to be obedient today but not real certain of intent to be consistent; struggling with just the concept (comprehension) of divine love, let alone walking in it (application). Such is a characterization of those having decided to enter into the light (saved) but not having decided to operate in the light (power).

The Most High God, Creator of Heaven and earth is the Great God; He makes great movements. Our Father does a thing full throttle so to speak, never waivers, fully committed; as evidenced by His plan for humankind before time was (read 1Co 2:7). The mystery of God’s plan was revealed (read 1Pe 1:20) through Christ Jesus Who walked in perfect obedience to the Will of God the Father so that we “might have and enjoy life to the full, in abundance ‘til it overflows” John 10:10b (AMP). Such is the DNA of Believers . . . the Lord God Almighty is Our Father, and Our Lord and Savior – Jesus is our Elder Brother. Glory to God!

Indeed, the thoughts of Abba Father are higher than our thoughts and His Ways are higher than our ways (read Isaiah 55:8, 9). Yet, Believers have the mind of Christ and the wisdom of God is being formed within. Therefore, full confidence is encouraged; the dumb down is discouraged. In Christ, we received the ability to experience ongoing renewal of the mind (soul) toward ever increasing confidence of the fullness of God’s love. Divine Love as evidenced by His abounding grace or unmerited favor (read Eph 2:6, 7).

Recently a friend wrote that she has decided to work for God. At first I thought it was an odd statement because she is an ordained Minister. However, I came to understand what she meant . . . one has to come to a place where you “see” the battle. Believers – the Body of Christ are called to move God’s plan forward. Christ Jesus is the Light (read John 3:19-21); and Believers are soldiers of light predestined to brick God’s Kingdom of Light on earth (read Eph 5:8b-10). Hence, we put on the full armor of God (read Eph 6:10-18), setting our face as flint with the full reality of 1 John 4:4 and Philippians 4:13. Our Commander-in-Chief is the Creator of Heaven and earth . . . we are Company Victorious!

Speak the promise . . . Harriet
