Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus,

GOD knew that only He could do it and He did it; the mystery of God’s plan to return man to right standing with the Sovereign Lord God Almighty was revealed in Jesus the Anointed One and His Anointing. God the Father knew that only He would do it and He did it; the Lord Jesus set His face like flint to fulfill His earth-walked ministry on behalf of man. Even in the face of such opposition to His compassion; for all Christ Jesus had ever shown was divine love. Yet a significant number refused to believe Him, hated and plotted against Him; those who while placing palm branches and shouted that He was the blessed King (John 12:13), turned in asking that a murderer be released instead of Him who knew no sin (John 18:40). Even in the midst of the Passion of the Christ, He never said a mumbling word throughout the Roman soldiers’ gleeful brutality (Isaiah 53:7). Rather, the Messiah stayed the course of the Father’s plan for the benefit of all mankind. Only Jesus could do it and He did it; that today “the life I now live in the flesh, I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me and gave Himself for meGalatians 2:20.

The “reason for the season” isn’t about the man who gave gifts to the nice; it’s about the grace of the One who gave The Gift of His only begotten Son; sent that all born in iniquity (free-will) be redeemed, re-created, and reconciled unto God the Father; that man might choose abundant life through Christ Jesus and eternal life with the Father. During the time of Christ’s ministry on earth (in the flesh), the Lord Jesus reiterated His Mission Statement (relayed by the Holy Spirit, approximately 700 years before the birth of the Messiah, through the prophet Isaiah 61:1-2a): “The Spirit of the Lord is upon me, for he has appointed me to preach Good News to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim that captives will be released, that the blind will see, that the downtrodden will be freed from their oppressors, and that the time of the Lord’s favor has come Luke 4:18-19 (NLT). (The Oppressor is the enemy of God, and anything not of God, any form of lack [i.e., health, wealth] is oppression.)

Oh! What a glorious evening it must’ve been when an angel of God suddenly appeared to the Shepherds, and as the radiance of God’s glory was all about them said: “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news of great joy that will be for all people. Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is Christ the Lord. . . . . Suddenly a great company of the heavenly host appeared with the angel, praising God and saying, ‘Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace to men on whom his favor restsLuke 2:10-14 (NIV). Therefore, I may say: “In the Name of Jesus, I am the righteousness of God. I am entitled to covenant kindness and covenant favor. . . . .”1.  Only Jesus the Anointed One could and would do it; and now, as relayed in Isaiah 61:2b-3, the will of Abba Father proceeds in the ministry of the Holy Spirit – Counselor, Comforter, Teacher (John 14:15-26 & 16:7-15), and Covenant Enforcer.

Speak the promise . . . Harriet
