Question:  Does God have more than one Name?

Response:  Yes, God has several names (I briefly spoke to that in CKMusing1). However, the most important thing for you to know is THAT HE IS; and that He (God the Father) sent Christ Jesus (God the Son) to redeem or save us from the sin of mankind. God the Father sent His only Son to retrieve what Adam lost, and freed us from eternal sin.

It is important to know the Bible because it is the Sword of the Spirit. (CKMusing9 which the spirit just helped be to finish writing a few minutes ago speaks to this; so you’re getting an early edition so to speak.) The Sword of the Spirit is the Word of God (Holy Bible). You are strengthened by the Word of God because your power comes of the spirit within. Needless to say, you can only know the Word of God by reading the Word of God. And by reading you come to know His Will for your life. When you live according to His Will for your life (yes, he knew you before you “became”) you flourish, you reap blessings, etc.

The mistake that folk make is in being satisfied with being spoon fed the Word.(Example: I’ll just get it from the Preacher.) You need to read it for yourself. Just read little by little . . . starting with the New Testament proved more beneficial for me. Now, I’m reading the Old Testament. I read before I go out of my house, and before I go to bed most times. The most important thing is to read on a daily basis. Then you must do. It’s not enough to understand the Word. Comprehension and application is the key. In other words, you must read the Word and do His Will; un-locks the flow of blessings – life more abundant.

It’s about developing your one-to-one relationship with the Lord. You have to do it for yourself, then you’ll know the very personal experience of incomparable joy. From my personal observation, you wouldn’t have far to travel before you begin to experience it for yourself because (as I’ve said to you before) you have a sweet spirit. Almost all of us begin with it, problem is that often “junk” pervades the temple (body) of the spirit.

Don’t get me wrong it requires work, consistency or steadfastness, but if you ask the Lord He will help you. That is why you need the Sword of the Spirit – the Word of God – the Holy Bible. You don’t need to memorize it, but the more you read the Word, meditate on it, pray about it, so forth and so on you will begin to remember the Word that the Lord has for you in both the big and small circumstances. Remember this: whatever the question, you can ask God directly. Remember the bookmark – you can ask for anything in the name of the Son and God will give it to you. So, ask God first, then read the Word. Then listen for His answer. Then be sure to do what He tells you to do, and don’t forget to thank Him.

You need fear nothing because Christ Jesus had The Victory when He defeated the evil one. Therefore, “He who is within you is Greater than he who is in the world.” Whenever you become fearful (fear is faith perverted) just say those words – He who is within me is Greater than he who is in the world. God is Almighty, and you have the Spirit of the Lord within you. Like the rest of us, you need to develop it. He can only help you if you ask Him. The evil one comes un-invited, but the Lord waits for an invitation. Invite Him in, He will never let you down when you read His Word and do His Will. Praise the Lord . . .

Question:  Having read CKMusing44, What exactly (in accuracy) is GOD’S Will?

Response:  God’s Will is God’s Way. When you walk in His ways; you do according to His Will. Scripture delineates God’s Will and God’s Way. For example, the Great Commandment being to love God with all your mind, heart, and soul; and the second Great Commandment to love your neighbor same as you love yourself. All other laws or commandments hang on these two. Scripture speaks the Will of God but not everyone is able to discern it and it can be revealed deeper at different times. That is why I pray for wisdom and revelation; so that I may understand the Word of God.  (Such is how the CKBookmarks came about . . . I’ve been a Christian all my life, hence quite “familiar” with the Holy Bible but scripture began to reveal itself unlike ever before. First, however, I asked God what it was that I needed to do because I was acutely aware that something was missing. I was told to dust off my bible and start reading which I started doing every night. Later I was told to read in the morning as well.) This is particularly true when one meditates on a particular word or verse; or meditates and asks the Lord via prayer for understanding concerning a particular verse; or when one fasts and meditates on the Word of God.

Whenever you are stumped about even the slightest of things, do not hesitate to seek the Lord’s guidance. Don’t just ask for His blessing, ask for His wisdom as well (because you can receive blessing on something that YOU might think is real good but it isn’t necessarily the wisest thing). Always seek guidance from the Lord so as not to be stumbled by man (i.e., friends, family). God will answer any question you ask. Seek to discern, understand, comprehend the Word of God by reading it on an ongoing basis (i.e., daily). Don’t rest with being “spoon-fed’ by others. Now, the other thing is not to stop with the reading of the word, but follow-up with the doing of what the Word says. That is, comprehension and application go together; understand what scripture says about what is acceptable to God, and then do it. It’s not about being perfect or getting it right every time. Got it wrong or did something wrong? Repent and humbly ask God to forgive. (Of course, you don’t want to keep doing the same thing over and over and over again.) It’s about endeavoring in earnest to do what you know in your heart is the Way of God . . . such requires one to put the Word of God in the heart. Sow the Word of God within your heart. As I heard a Man of God say yesterday (I’m still here in Orlando, FL) – perfection is reserved for God, and The Son – Christ Jesus was the perfection of obedience to God the Father. The Son understood the Will of The Father, and did according to His Will. Born into the natural like one of us, Christ Jesus studied the Old Testament. Hence, as man he experienced the same temptations as man, but Christ was knowledgeable about the Will of The Father and desired to be obedient to the Will of God the Father. Christ Jesus read the Word of God, and understood The Word. Christ Jesus was the perfect role model for doing according to the Will of God the Father. Bless His Holy Name.

Question:  What is your take on this article? It is secular historic research, and I am interested in hearing your take on the matter?

http://www.heraldmag.org/olb/Contents/doctrin/The%20Origin%20of%20the%20Trinity.htm

Reply:  I think it’s a good treatise; especially for those who practice Catholicism. (Since you are the one doing the research, the more important question is: “What do you think about it?”)

With respect to fact verses philosophy, anything outside of the Word of God is indeed philosophy. If the goal is to learn differences between practices (i.e. Catholic, Lutheran, Methodist, etc.) works such as the one you happened into will certainly provide information. If the goal is clearer understanding of the Word of God, then you only need ask Him directly.

In the Name of Jesus through the power of the Holy Spirit ask/pray for wisdom and revelation; for your eyes to be “opened” to a clearer understanding of His Word. You can add more to your own words through Ephesians 1:17-21 & Ephesians 3:14-19 and personalize it. The Holy Spirit can guide and teach you all things through Jesus Christ to the glory of God the Father.

I also ask/pray for boldness to do according to His Word. Personally, the glory of the Lord is receiving answers for questions asked; it makes me laugh and shout to the glory of God.

Question:  Having read CKMusing53, I wondered: When Jesus and the Apostles talk about the Truth, what does that mean? What is Truth? I KNOW we must think as Jesus does so if he and the Father are one (mind) then we ought to think as God does, right? And so silly me . . . I never even had the sense to ask you: What do you believe?

Reply:  I believe that God the Father is the Lord God Almighty. I believe that Father God sent His Son – Jesus Christ to redeem humankind. The Son of God – Jesus Christ was born as human, died as sacrifice for the sin of mankind, was raised from the dead, and now sits at the right hand of the Father. I believe that Father God sent the Holy Spirit (as Jesus requested) as the Mighty Counselor to guide and teach us in the Way of the Father. I believe that Jesus is the Head of the Church and we who comprise the church are the body of Christ. I believe that the body of Christ – the church is responsible for building the Kingdom of Light here on earth until Christ Jesus returns. The primary responsibility of Believers is to love one another . . . that is to obey the commandments of God in love or agape because God is agape.

I believe the Word of God is truth because God cannot tell a lie. Hence, His Word is medicine unto all our flesh; there is not anything it won’t cure. The Word of God is life sustaining; it is alive. Therefore, the Word of God does not rest at comprehension. That is to say, comprehension of God’s Word must be followed by the application of God’s Word. Application requires faith, and faith requires hope, but the essential component is love or agape – God’s love. God is love, hence we must love in order to be true reflections of the Kingdom of Light – God’s Kingdom. I believe that humans are successful walking in the Way of God when we yield to the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of God will enable you to seek the truth from the truth when you ask God directly. Such requires that you listen for His answer.

I believe that one must feast on the Word of God daily, meditate on the Word of God daily, develop a personal relationship with God by talking (and listening to Him) daily. Such enables one to answer one’s own questions. Reading the Word of God for yourself (comprehension and application) will enable you to discern whether (or not) another teaching is in keeping with the Word of God. Each time you learn, there is yet another level which is why you ask/pray for wisdom and revelation. (You will never learn everything there is to know about the Word of God within this lifetime . . . He is that Awesome!) The Word that you understood one way can take on a new dimension when you yield to the Holy Spirit allowing God to give you quick understanding. So, that’s more of what I believe . . . what do you believe?

Question:  (paraphrased) – . . . there’s only supposed to be one tent; people are doing whatever they want; the world’s in a mess; . . . ?

Reply:  Spiritual growth is a glorious experience. Continue to pray for wisdom and revelation because there is no end point to learning the Way of God . . . our lifespan simply isn’t long enough and He is too Awesome. Once we learn a thing there is yet another harvest . . . more learning . . . more growth. Yield to the power of the Holy Spirit who lives within (the anointing) those of us who believe on His Son – Jesus, the Christ. The Spirit of God (the Mighty Counselor) teaches the spirit within the Way, and by such do we grow increase the fruit of the spirit: love, joy, peace, patience, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness, and temperance. (No matter how well intentioned), we are unable to walk in the Way by our own willpower because perfection is reserved for God period. Humankind is much too prone to judging, and much too quick to withhold love from one another based upon such judgment. The Great Commandment to love – Divine Love (not human love) is the glue. Divine Love holds no account of wrong suffered. (Human love will call an account of wrongdoing in a heartbeat, and feel quite justified in doing so! It’s good for us that God doesn’t do the same. Instead He just keeps leading us in the Way we need to move . . . God is love.)

What the world is and what God intended it to be was forever changed the second that Adam committed treason through the trickery of the evil one. Therefore, reality is that the world is what the world is. The Son of God came to redeem us, and take back the keys from the evil one. Now, the evil one’s lease is about to run out, so I’m about the business of yielding to the Holy Spirit so that my spirit is in proper (not perfect) alignment when the Son of God returns. On that day there will be no tents . . . rather, each of us will need to give an account for what we did with the skills God gave us for building the Kingdom of Light. With respect to the reality of the present age, I understand that I am in the world but not of the world, and I do not concern myself with the ways of the world. Instead, I keep my focus on doing in accordance to His Will. In the Name of Jesus and through the power of the Holy Spirit, I fight the good fight of faith as I walk in His Way: obedience in Divine Love. To God be the Glory; I praise His Holy Name.

Question:  What is perfection really? . . . (GOD’s WORD) is  meant for translation not interpretation . . .?

Reply:  Believers have been redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. That is, our sins (through the point of accepting the salvation of the One and Only) were washed. While such made it possible for perfection, the reality is humankind falls short of the Glory of God. Therefore, to answer your question: What is perfection really? The Word tells us that God is perfection. Perfection is reserved for God, and the Son of God was perfection in obedience to the Will of God.

Translation versus interpretation is an altogether different matter. Seek the truth from Truth . . . “engage” the Lord God Almighty. Believers are able to do so because the Son of God made it possible for Believers to go directly to God the Father. One may engage God by developing a one-to-one relationship with Him. Read His Word, meditate on His Word, and engage Him in heartfelt discussion every day throughout the day. In so doing, approach God’s Throne of Grace with a repentant heart, and ask Him to forgive you. More importantly, do as much listening as talking which requires yielding to the Holy Spirit – the Mighty Counselor who guides and teaches in the Way of God. Then apply or do what you comprehend or understand which is to obey.
