Moses’ father-in-law Jethro said, “Blessed be GOD who has delivered you out . . . Exodus 18:10 (MSG). Usually, as I enter rest for the night (though sometimes also during the day), I say: Blessed be the Sovereign Lord God Almighty, my Abba Father by the redemptive work of Christ Jesus; Blessed be Jesus the Anointed One and His Anointing, my Savior and my Lord; Blessed be the Holy Spirit, my Comforter, Counselor, and Teacher. In so doing, the enemy and/or thief (and/or cohorts thereof) used to attempt to whisper: “who do you think you are blessing GOD?” I neither chit-chat with satan nor the cohorts thereof except to cast down with authority in the Name above all names (as the Lord Jesus delegated those of His Body to do). The confidence or faith I have is in the knowing that the Word of GOD is true unto me by the finished work of Christ Jesus. Therefore, if Moses’ father-in-law could bless the LORD for delivering His people out of the arrogant hand of oppression, surely I may bless the Godhead for deliverance out of the curse of sickness, poverty, and spiritual death by the blood of JESUS. It is by faith I may (free-will) take the promises of GOD with gratitude for the faithfulness and compassionate love and grace of Abba Father, with thanksgiving in Jesus’ name, Amen.
