When Apostle Paul arrived in Rome as a prisoner (free to live in a home though under guard), he called together some of the leaders to relay why he’d asked to be tried in Rome by the Emperor. These leaders replied: “. . .We understand that people everywhere are against this new group” Acts 28:22b (CEV). By the WORD we know that GOD is LOVE, so from whence is hate? from where does hate emanate? Rhetorical as such isn’t asked to elicit  answers. For LOVE is GOD. Therefore, hate is of the enemy – the father of lies – the thief that only comes to steal and kill and destroy – the father of those who “know not what they do” – blinded by the manipulations of the devil.

At the onset of His earthly ministry, Jesus the Anointed One and His Anointing went to the synagogue in His old neighborhood where He had been brought up, and relayed the reason for which the LORD God – His Father (Who became the Father of all that believe and confess the Lord Jesus) sent Him. The Lord Jesus unrolled the scroll of the Prophet Isaiah and read aloud His Mission Statement:

18 The Spirit of the LORD [is] upon Me, because He has anointed Me [the Anointed One, the Messiah] to preach the good news (the Gospel) to the poor; He has sent Me to announce release to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to send forth as delivered those who are oppressed [who are downtrodden, bruised, crushed, and broken down by calamity],  19 To proclaim the accepted year of the LORD [the day when salvation and the free favors of God profusely abound.” Isaiah 61:1-2 (AMP)

At first the people marveled as to the Lord Jesus’ articulated grace but such turned to resentment (just as “yo people” may be prone to exhibit as you set yourself to move further into the things of God in the way of God). Seems a type of jealously which morphed into hate, to such an extent that the hometown folk of the Lord Jesus actually tried to kill Him. Though a significant number hated the only begotten Son of LOVE sans reason, He walked in perfect obedience to the will of the Father. From town to town the Lord Jesus taught and healed all with faith to believe; and decreed and declared that, after His death and resurrection and return to the Father, those “in Him” would do even greater works. Therefore, just as the Lord Jesus never strolled with the devil, neither do those “in Christ” go along with the antics or tricks of the devil via people. For those reconciled unto the LORD God as sons & daughters by the Blood were delivered out of the control and dominion of darkness to BE light in every situation.
