Dear Brothers and Sisters in Christ Jesus,

“But the hour is coming, and now is, when the true worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and truth; for the Father is seeking such to worship Him. God is Spirit, and those who worship Him must worship in spirit and truth.”  John 4:23-24 (NKJV)

“A time will come, however, indeed it is already here, when the true (genuine) worshipers will worship the Father in spirit and in truth (reality); for the Father is seeking just such people as these as His worshipers. God is a Spirit (a spiritual Being) and those who worship Him must worship Him in spirit and in truth (reality).” John 4:23-24 (AMP)

Those chosen (divine election) of the Omniscient LORD God through faith in Christ Jesus (John 6:44 & 14:6; 1Co 1:9; Colossians 1:13) worship in spirit and truth; centered upon reality, relationship, and Christ. Yet it seems that mankind has a knack of attempting to add to the way of God; even 2000+ years after the birth, ministry, death & resurrection of Christ Jesus (perhaps well-meaning) saints who comprise the Body of Christ add ritual, religion, and creed. That is, partakers of the New Covenant between God and man ratified by the blood of Jesus have no need to conform to feasts, fasts, festivals, etcetera adhered re the Old Covenant between God and man. For the Word of God delineates the fact that the five-fold ministry gifts of the Lord Jesus: “apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors, teachers” are given for the edification of the Body of Christ. That the Body of Christ may be built up until we all reach the unity of faith, in the knowledge of Christ Jesus, toward maturation in terms of the fullness of Christ (Eph 4:11-13).  The Church is the Body of Christ; it’s not an edifice; neither was it meant to be about doctrine nor denomination nor dietary laws. Rather, believers are the Body of which God the Father “appointed (Jesus) the universal and supreme Head” Eph 1:22 (AMP). Kostelnik, J. (1981; revised 2021) wrote about the Lord Jesus “lamenting and saying, ‘I never meant to start a church.’”1 Further, that the Lord Jesus came  

“to establish a Kingdom, to build a spiritual temple, comprised of ‘living stones’ who are redeemed human persons. His aim was to incorporate all believers into one divine Body, not to construct an artificial, outward ‘organization’ of ‘churchianity’, but, rather, to personally build a living organism called His Church (Mt. 16:18).”2  

Moving from “churchianity” to BEing re fully mature involves, yea requires, personal relationship with God the Father by Christ Jesus through the present earthly ministry of the Holy Spirit via prayer in the Spirit. Glory to GOD!
